12 November 2024
The report doesn't name the company, but apparently its execs are unhappy with the 13.6% growth of the market this year.

403 Forbidden, 12 Nov 2024And that's a mindset that needs to be changed. I don&#... moreSamsung is the premier Apple alternative but they are not on Apple's level. Consumers view them differently. People forget how Apple got here. It wasn't the iphone. That was the grand slam. Their image changed when they convinced music artist to sell their singles to counter music piracy. That was no easy task. Most artist loathed the idea of offering all their singles.

Overnight they went from being a small section of white computers amongst a sea of window PC's to a household name. The other companies can build better products and get more sales, but it's going to take more than specs to reach Apple's level. They'll be fine as long as they understand their core business is affordable phones. That gives them profit to invest in premium mobiles. It's a benefit. It's not their business or their image.

Both of these companies only make incremental or little upgrades while chinese phones are innovating quite alot lately. Even Nothing is selling a lot in this region. Samsung is just sitting there lol, not doing much, same old design, barely anything new

          In general (most places), samsung phone is more expensive than chinese brand. Yes, there are some place that sells Samsung phone cheaper even you can get a samsung phone for free, but that is because promo sales and collaboration between samsung with celluler provider or marketplace.

          Still doesnt change the fact that Samsung is more premium than chinese brand.

            Well, your opinions on chinese phones are obviously wrong. Chinese phones come at all price segments, and the quality certainly is good, I am using this oneplus flagship for years, without any issues

              This tech is getting better, the demand is growing... I kind feel tempted to compare to the wearables adoption. Sooner or later most players will want to capitalize on the demand for this product. Meanwhile seems some new ones come some others go. Been an early adopter on all fronts but that's just some. My guts is that just takes a hype like apple getting a foldable product out and here we go again, that's the final push to get many more interested. PS.: On the go, I like the flip portability and the fold for more comfortable environment's. At home, bigger screens.

                  That's not always the case. Vision Pro is Apple's first attempt to enter spatial computing/VR market, yet it didn't sold well, just like another spatial computing/VR devices.

                          There are few reasons for low sales of foldables,
                          first is high price;
                          Second durability issues;
                          Third crease on screen;
                          Fourth high cost of repair especially screens;
                          Fifth for something to become mainstream or in trend it's necessary that Apple launches product similar to it, but till now apple hasn't launched any foldables, making people think that maybe foldables aren't so much durable and won't last for 4 or 5 years(because apple provide software update for it's products for atleast 5 years), but if Apple launches any foldable then everything will change, and then there will be surge in demand for foldables

                                    Using a foldable will only make you look like a loser and make you the center of attention and a laughing stock. The compact iPhone 15 remains the undisputed leader and customer favorite in 2024. Eventually foldables will disappear due to little customer interest and there is no way Apple will launch one.

                                        Vivo had a Note series of extra large phones that I liked. It could be time to expand the non-foldables into a 7+ inch territory (for people with big hands and big ears)
