After oneplus green line issue in oneplus series 8 and 9....their sales got dropped and oneplus 11 and 12 series got overpriced...instead of oneplus they went with vivo x series and oppo which has more offline centers....and oxygen os is color os so no differentiating factor too....
For Samsung, it is overpriced and minimal upgrades.....also their phone price drops huge after few months or a year.....and offline traders perfer vivo and oppo as they giving more % in profit...

Maybe they will improve more as the years pass. Just wish their gaming phones keep the jack and card slots since they have 1000s of consumer models anyways.

Most people don't even look at Samsung phones just because it doesn't come with a bundled charger. It is a hassle to buy original charger as they are prices astronomically.

until samsung bring latest designs like punch hole camera or 5 mp macro and 8/12 mp ultrawide, true stereo speakers, ip rating to above 5/6, adapter in the box, 3.5 mm headphone jack with headphones in-the-box to low-end phones they want be in lead of sales. their software is good but lacks in design and hardware, hardware can be ignore if it runs smoothly with software but design can't be ignore and that's the issue with them.

Anton .el PAPI., 14 Nov 2024Vivo will displace Samsung from this and part of Europe, in... moreI'm not shocked why Nokia, a far smaller brand with minimal market share, had more smartphone sales compared to Samsung in our country. Xiaomi leads (again overpriced in our market for what it is), followed by Nokia, Honor (marketed as "From the creators of Huawei"), Vivo, ZTE, and finally, Oppo and Samsung. The rest are basically second hand phones sold by customs officers and henchmen.

Bbk and Transsion are now winning asian markets, samsung is falling because of releasing mediocre overprice midrange, and still the greenline trauma is not over its still happening on latest flagships.

One probable cause for samsung being down to 19% market share from 30% in the 600-800 dollar segment is because iphone 15 which released only 4 months earlier than samsung S24 costs 15,000 rupees less than the S24. This is a significant difference. For that difference in amount most people would go for the iPhone....even people who had samsung phones.

Although Oppo or Vivo are market leaders now, I believe they aren't the primary ones eating into Samsung's market share (quite possibly gaining share at the expense of Realme and OnePlus). Prospective Samsung customers are probably being eaten into by Motorola in the budget segment and Apple (and Pixel to some extent) in the premium segment.
