If you ask form me I can't even buy rog phone 2 or 1 & iPhone 6 & Samsung old phone I only got infinix hot 11 and I play pubg on it i used it more then 2 and half year and still using it

I have an ROG Phone 5, and I just love it.
They had such an amazing formula with the 5, 6 and 7 phones. Uninterrupted display without punch holes, twin front facing speakers (which are equal and have their own amplifier), and a good amount of bezel to avoid false touches, and a nice, gamery design that stands out from the crowd. (They've carried forward the center PCB, split battery, good cooling and the 3.5mm jack despite trying to appeal to the mainstream users which is a good thing). But -
I would not buy the new ROG phones at all, unless they brought back the features they used to have and expanded upon them to make them better. I mean, the ROG Phone 5 still holds the #2 spot in DXOmark's audio ranking. It's a 2021 phone and their first time doing the equal stereo speakers thing. There's no replacement for this kind of audio.

These gaming phones are only for people who specifically play competitive mobile games.

i managed to get iqoo 13 16/512 for $640. why would i spend over $1K, that rank are for iPhone and Samsung with higher brand value XD

Gaming phones make no sense above $700
Mobile games currently are not on console level quality and till then, it is pointless to put over a thousand dollars on a gaming phone, when one can easily buy a console and a television for the same price
Moreover, this phone doesn't provide the software experience like that of Samsung or Apple nor does it have the same level OS support or even a service network like that of Samsung or Apple or big chinese brands
This is a tough sell at that price. Also, ROG design is not like it was before (until 7) IDK who will buy this over-priced, generic looking phone

But what if somebody wants to play some PS2 games and then Switch games? Buying several devices is not an option. Also emulators support upscaling which makes graphics much better.

None. I have Rog 7 U. Nothing better so far from Asus. Can go Other brand, but Asus no. Unless they go back to Similar setup. Those Speakers😍😍

Poco X6 Pro with D8300U is enough to run any game you throw at it with no issues and the phone cost under 300 euro while also get 3 OS updates what you wont get with Asus while pay 4 digits for it

Rather go Redmagic 10 series. It has bigger battery than the ROG 9 series.
CN Reviewer claims ROG 9 (5800mAh) can last almost 9 hours. While the Redmagic 10 Pro (7050mAh) can last almost 12 hours and 30 mins.
Thankfully Redmagic 10 is offering 6500mAh battery, let people think this is great to buy over Asus.

Then play everything for years, if you even find time for all games released. And you will be playing them the best possible way on platform they were created for. No need to think about updates, extra joysticks,etc

I'm not looking for a gaming device. I will look for:
1. More small and light device
2. Music oriented device
3. Running both Android and Windows on smartphone. 2 chips 1 storage. I guess will require a third main OS to let live switch between the 2 sub OS.

these Asus phones are not bad per se, but if take a look at the competition, they barely make any sense.
still, some people will buy these ROG phones because, these are ROG phones....
fyi I don't play games on my phone usually. I use my phone's camera a lot - so that's where my interest is in. My interest in ROG/Redmagic phones is for their no notch screen, great battery life, good speakers, top performance and 3.5mm headphone jack. Also their software are generally more tuned for power users - which is nice to have.
