It's got most of the important apps. What it lacks are only the novelties. From your post it's clear that you're the type of consumer who only looks for specs in a smartphone and doesn't consider quality at all. And you obviously have not used a WP before and that makes your comment invalid.

One wonders if this is the reason why Nokia still is wary of Android.

btw, im using an iphone4. planning to switch to lumia 520 ( im a student so that's the only handset that i can afford, FOR NOW :) )

In Arabia's Countries, Nokia phones are almost part of history last year ... with the coming of Win 8 and the Lumias ... many people switch from Apple to Nokia but they suffer the lack of Banks Applications / Government offices Applications / any many applications common in Samsung phones or Apple phones ... everybody like the strong reliable Hardware of Nokia. (:

Im wonder if Samsung drop Android and only launch Tizen Phones. They will have the same success?!

Agree Im still very happy with my Lumia 920, I'm not getting the Lumia 925 since I don't see real improvements between those two.
Waiting for a new model maybe an Lumia 930 or Lumia 1080 :D

and the best phone i ever owned was the Nokia N900. Great job Nokia, the 1020 really is a wonderful achievement that shows true innovation.

i just ordered this from amazon for 629USD (729AUD) outright. i am so excited. seeing my note 2 cost 789 outright. i think i got a great deal.
Previous phones, Nokia N900, N9, E6, E7, N8, 808, Galaxy S3, Lumia 800, Lumia 920, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4, amd currently using Xperia Z.
never owned a iphone, but my friend came over for dinner with his iphone and when i asked why did you bring a charger, he replyed because my battery is about to die. And with my experience with android. I really dont see what the hype is. All i know is that when i am driving and need my navigation program to work. FORCE CLOSE.
