Is it high end or midrange 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Samsung is the new Apple when it comes to innocation (rather, the lack of innovation). The stepmotherly treatment and crippling that these vanilla flagships get - it hurts. Going at this rate, its better if Samsung discontinues their base S-flagships and give us a compact A5x series with 6.1 - 6.3 inch screens. It will serve two purposes - those looking for a compact phone and Samsung's ecosystem will spend less and get a decently specced upper-midrange, and those looking for compact flagships can switch brands to get much better value and features

"the vanilla Galaxy S25 will be missing the UWB"

Why? It's built in this time in the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it doesn't require any other chip. They are already going through the certification process for the others and know what it takes. This seems to be an intentional limitation to push users to the more expensive versions.

If I were to buy another Galaxy S, I'd be looking for the vanilla version. What I like is that it's lightweight and powerful. The best travel companion. If they can get the slim version to be 160gr then I might try that one.

The only point for standard S series is for it's more compact size.

TechDevil, 28 Nov 2024I just hope this year the s25 series fails badly. Otherwise... moreNot a solution, bad sales of Base S phone is reason to drop it.

Drop the smallest Android phone on the market that has any actual OS support.

They dropped 11" with Tab S10 series while Tab S9 sold good, so if they are that easy about it, bad sales of smaller phone are a reason to drop it, not fix it.

                It is sickening

So another downgrade on an updated model. Well, pretty standard for Samsung after all.

And to make matter worse, Tab S9 series with same chip got a update that made wifi 7 available (I have a Tab S9 and tested it, it is real Wifi 7)

                    Like wth Samsung?

Listen Samsung, even Apple gives you UWB on all 4 of their iphones, and they do that for a while...

There is ZERO reason to not add it to the base S phone.

Also while I don't use wireless charing, going down from 15 to 9 watts is beyond ridiculous.

Awesome, can’t wait for S25 series

I just hope this year the s25 series fails badly. Otherwise, they won't learn any lessons. It could be possible if other OEMs stuck to the originality of the software instead of copying iOS blatantly.

The way samsung is treating the base S2X, they might as well just cancel it 🤣 Even the A56 is looking like the better option these days

Samsung purposely made one of its flagship worse. Might as well not use the 8 Elite if they're getting handicapped. What a terrible decision.
