Samsung Galaxy S25+ once again pops up on Geekbench with an Exynos chip

There were rumors Samsung would go all in with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 trio.

On... moreEven E2400 isn't 100% inferior to sd and Dimensity alternative, while Overall Snapdragon is better Exynos has its niche, like its better Raytracing soc, many games which has RT will perform better and has Good out of the box Vulkan drivers, any Emulator which rely on Vulkan Xclipse is doing really job including Switch Emulation. But it lag behind in Open GL and anything which require custom drivers.

        Only enthusiasts care because they feel scammed, and gamers because they're the only ones that will notice the difference.

        For 99% of buyers Samsung could put in a Snapdragon 860 in the S25 and they wouldn't notice, nor care.

        I'm an enthusiast, but starting to care less. Got the S24 Ultra because of the chip, just like I had the S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra. However the inconvenience of a carrying around a brick outweighs the SOC difference.

            Apart from that Gsmarena also has both sources of S24 entering top 10 of most sold devices, first Samsung base devices to enter top 10 since 2018 and S24 sales in USA are flat.

To understand that Exynos model in USA (S24 FE) is just $550 now and it was $470 few days ago.

                  What is the point of this copy/paste phone if there is no micro SD card slot ? We arrived at a point CPU are so powerful, yet we can do far less things than a 10 year old phone.

                            -S24 10.94 vs S23 9.69
                            -s24+ 6.27 vs 23+ 4.97

                            At same time in USA sales of S24 series are flat, growth is from Exynos markets.


                            Exynos is much cheaper to make, hence results in cheaper devices,

                                    If Scamsung keeps giving inferior chips for vanilla and plus models i won't be surprised their sales go even down than previous year.
