Samsung Galaxy S25+ once again pops up on Geekbench with an Exynos chip

Those aren't too bad scores, slightly better than 9300+ and 8 Gen 3 on both single and multicore but for the price Samsung asks..... eeeh, doesn't compete with 8 Elite or 9400, especially if the previous thermal and power consumption issues persist.

Not sure what's the issue with Samsung's chip division. If Mediatek pose some serious competition to Snapdragon, surely Samsung can do it too. Also, Samsung needs to test whether the Samsung nodes make any noticeable difference, or it's got more to do with chip and cluster designs. Exynos chips have improved over the last few generations. In between they had become rather disappointing. Now. They've probably improved generationally more than Snapdragon.
Samsung should test all performance cores and ditch the efficiencies cores altogether, just like Mediatek, and Snapdragon that's been copying Mediatek. Also, cache combinations and node testing should be done. Samsung could create a ghost company in Vietnam or India, and engage TSMC's 3nm, 5nm, 7nm technology, to see how much of it is influenced by TSMC's tech, above and beyond the chip designs.
Samsung needs to keep scouting for chip development engineers, and technologists like Anand Lal Shimoi (former owner and creamer of Anandtech). There is probably no shortage of talent in chip designers, Samsung just needs to try a little harder.

I think Sammy is losing the performance battle this year. That and their abysmal 3nm yields make things look grim in the short therm for their chips.
There are also reports of them looking forward to expand their partnership with mediatek for the S26 series.

Hemedans, 06 Dec 2024Point wrong Data I will give you source, Not going to argue with you, practically every country had the same rrp as last year's model which was solely using Snapdragon.. but yeah unless your country is selling both variants (it's not) it was/ is the same pricing as last year's s23 for both the exy and SD.

I'm not saying the Exynos is better but it is far from bad.

The exynos is always worse compared to SD in terms of battery runtime, photo quality, mobile network quality and of course the speed of the phone.

As stated in the article, a previous fake story just represented.
The classic
"You want the truth? You can't handle the truth! (in its place a mocked up benchmark.... again)
The architecture in this Exynos 2500 is also different( explanation?) to the Exynos 2400
1x 3.21 GHz – Cortex-X4
2x 2.9 GHz – Cortex-A720
3x 2.6 GHz – Cortex-A720
4x 1.95 GHz – Cortex-A520
Also Samsung would like Mediatek use Arms latest Cortex, Clockspeed????!!!
Expect more of the same fabrication until Samsung announces.
Unknown is what SoC Samsung S25 will use, this purported Exynos 2500 won't be it as it only came into "existence" whn whoever published it WITHOUT informing Samsung.

Heis, 06 Dec 2024Increased sales of s24 have nothing to do with exynos chip,... moreIf it was that then Sd region like Usa would increase too but it didn't and Exynos Market (Where S24 are much cheaper) sales increase a lot.
Exynos is cheaper, people love cheap thing it's not hard understanding that? In Europe S24 is €550 right now, UK £511, less than $600 Uae and some Middle East countries, here Africa I can get it as low as $620 it's consistently cheaper than US price right now and cheaper than many Flagship with sd 8 gen 3.

Exynos chips are great for 90% of consumers who wouldn't even mind having a midrange chip, but my problem is the fact that these phones are SO expensive yet still feel the need to cut costs. Perhaps I was too harsh on the S23 series....

Wender how many would buy with Exynos???
Bet Exynos for US and Europe and chinese or korea gets Snapdragon.
They would do a lot better if they add 120w or more charging speeds new SiCa batteries with 6k 7k capacity or better nd charger in the box because one from samsung is tottaly expensive.

As usual, Exynos for Asian market and snapdragon for European and others. This is completely making me to move towards iPhone. Battery of vanilla model is worse and even if plan to go for + version for extra bucks, still have to depend on Exynos.

Fine i admit It works perfectly fine when you bought it, but will you able to say the same after three years of updated OS with that 8GB RAM?! (S24)
If you tell me it won't start lagging after 3-4 years you are just lying to yourself.
Yes and i use phones for 5+ years as i spend my money on flagships for 1 reason only, it should last long.

Hemedans, 06 Dec 2024Source Hana securities, it was posted by reve Twitter who h... moreIncreased sales of s24 have nothing to do with exynos chip, they advertised AI so much for s24 series it was bound to happen
They made the right decision to switch to all SD for all regions for s23 but they already had a strategy to increase sales, that's why they resorted to giving cheap exynos soc to rest of the world.
Once the AI hype dials down the numbers will go down again.
