Anonymous, 09 Dec 2024Finally someone who understood that IPS LCD screen is far m... moreIn what world?

Other than the burn in risk OLED in phones is superior in absolutely every metric.

    Faster respons times
    Effectively infinite contrast
Brighter overall than pretty much all phone LCDs
    Better HDR
    Better SDR

The only thing worse in a phone screen would be VA with that aweful black smearing, or TN which is objectively the worst at pretty much everything.

Not to mention basically every mid range to high end phone these days comes with an OLED because the vast majority of global end users want them. The negative of burn in risk is far outweighed by all the other positives that are just better than LCDs.

If IPS was wanted you'd see them more outside of the tablet space.

rizki1, 09 Dec 2024You don't understand what I'm saying.. of course ... moreYeah, this competes against the likes of Samsung A55/next A56, Realme 14 Pro+, Moto Edge 50 Neo/Pro. None of these have focus on powerful processors, but are very well balanced overall in cameras, battery and build quality/finish.

pl2rts, 09 Dec 2024Note was always for me this balance best bang for the buck ... moreThey are asking for the wrong phone if they want high performance. Maybe they just don't know that Xiaomi didn't make the Poco F and X Pro series.

Jaggu , 09 Dec 2024It's crazier to see Vivo t3 ultra with D9200+ Gt6t ... moreYou don't understand what I'm saying.. of course Redmi Note has weaker SoC than them but this phone is not their opponent, Xiaomi will make it in the next Poco X7 Pro and Poco F7.

Divergent, 09 Dec 2024I picked 9 series over 10 due to longevity of IPS LCD'... moreFinally someone who understood that IPS LCD screen is far more superior to the cheap mediocre OLED display tech.

rizki1, 09 Dec 2024If you want high performance, leave it to the Poco F series... moreNote was always for me this balance best bang for the buck middle class with middle middle class performance and more prioritized on cameras. Use to have 3.5mm jack for being all-rounder media box.

Poco F series was like the flagship killer for performance and to have cost down have some cheap middle class cameras on them. Also X Pro was something performance and maybe a bit camera as the 108mp camera on X5 Pro was good. X6 Pro made the playing field weird with better performance then F5 come out half a year earlier with X6 Pro D8300U and is cheaper then F series as there are already possible to get X6 Pro for 300 euro or under and also get 3 OS update as it started from 14 While F6 with 8s gen 3 isn't that much worth the spend to go with F this 6 generation of poco. You dont win much for the extra 100-150 euro with F6

Redmi flagship is middle class specs and that is Note series as the best out of Redmi series. The rest is entry class to budget class as something in the middle of the SD4 and SD6 range. It use to be cheap but now it's not worth it anymore.

Price is actually lower than Redmi Note 13 Pro+ from last year, and has better specs (except for the UFS and memory speeds and 120W vs 90W chargin speed).

                  13 Pro+
                  INR35,999 ($435/€395) for 12/256 GB
                  INR37,999 ($455/€420) for 12/512 GB

                  14 Pro+
                  INR 35,999 ($425) for 12/512GB

This proves there really wasnt any regulation/rule for 6000 mah limit in india for new phones. Realme and iqoo were just cost cutting.

Divergent, 09 Dec 20249 was the last good redmi note series. Everything has gone ... moreI do take 10 series the last best one, 11 and after are messed.

Creepyzebra, 09 Dec 2024You cannot compare flagship android phone to cheap Redmi ph... moreWell Google Pixel series is not really a flagship specs to be called flagship.
SD 7+ gen 2 that was 2023 release chip for middle class perform better then Google latest chip in their Pixel 9 Pro that is a bit downgrade to 8 Pro.

It's middle class performance so i can't call it a flagship just cause it have the flagship cameras on it. It's just the Google brand flagship but not in specs of performance. Not even catching up to SD 8+ gen 1 and forward to what we expect for flagship to have to be said as flagship.

If i would buy a phone today in that range and camera is important for me then Google Pixel 7 Pro makes more sense for the price sake and wont lose out on updates too.

                          1) Price is issue here when comparing with older Redmi note models
                          3) hyper OS 1 ? 🤢🤮

The Android Freak, 09 Dec 2024Price is too goddamn high. iQOO Neo 10 Pro will be launched... moreIf you want high performance, leave it to the Poco F series, not the Redmi Note..

crazy to see, many people here don't know that Redmi Note is now a premium phone at a low price. This is not a price to performance focused phone.

Note 14 Pro+ cost 365 dollars vs Google Pixel 7 Pro that is now 2 years old flagship and price has drop to 310 dollars.

Redmi Note 14 Pro+ start with Android 14 and end with Android 17
Google Pixel 7 Pro start with Android 13 and end with Android 18

Performance is around same in Antutu v10 around 813k for 14 Pro+ and 831k for 7 Pro
While 7 Pro have slower charger at 27W compare to 14 Pro+ 90W it have wireless also.
Camera is doing a lot better then 14 Pro+ i would think.

Google Pixel is good to buy 2 years after release as then their price is good midclass and performance also for a mid class.

xfrqnx, 09 Dec 2024why not hyperos 2?So then they just have to release one OS update.
                                    Pretty crappy Xiaomi.

Generally I have positive reviews for Redmi Note Pro series, however, this time I doesn't have good impression on the camera design on the back.

                                        why not hyperos 2?
