Yeah the last one has no removable battery, but has literally every feature.

They don't make it larger because compromises have to be made, specially for a rugged phone that has to be protected while underwater, and higher mAh equals to bigger battery, meaning less space for other features. This is common knowledge but I guess that's too hard for you to decipher.

Clearly you've never gone camping for more than a day, because you think you have a power outlet every 10 meters out there in the woods, or that you're naive enough to think external batteries can support 15-min fast charging. So this phone is not designed for you, why even bother commenting about something not marketed towards you? Complaining about non-issues that are actually pros for the people who clamour these features, you have no ground to stand on in this argument, give up.

Oh well, I don't see the point of this at all anyways when you can get phones with bigger batteries and fast charging that tops them up in 15-30 minutes. Samsung has never heard of fast charging so I guess it's a good option for them to just straight up go back in time.

DarlingYext, 10 Dec 2024Tiny battery for any phone, let alone one that's rugged.Non-issue, removable battery means you can place another when the other gets low and essentially get double the capacity advertised. But I know these techniques are lost to time, specially for people like YarlingText who really tries hard to make an issue out of a non-issue.

Not only that but "No battery mode" is an unique feature I don't see you praising, probably because it goes against your narrative of being upset about every minor detail.

            thank you for the news.
I was thinking of buying Xcover 6 Pro, but i think I'll wait for this.
i hope it will get significant upgrade compared to previous models.

Personally I dont care for removable battery, just replacable without heatgun and a ton of glue is enough for me, but if 8 pro has a headphone jack and OLED screen im sold.

My question is why are they NOT using the newer Silicon batteries in this thing? They could keep the battery dimensions the same but the capacity should go up considerably!

Would be further negative if it implemented no battery mode as mentioned by another commenter. That feature existed on Galaxy Tab 4 Active.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between the nominal and the so called "typical" capacity of the battery?
