Google Pixels got 80% battery charge limit and battery bypass with the latest update

12 December 2024
Google didn't advertise it, but you can now limit the battery to charging to 80% to extend its life. This also enables battery bypass when plugged into external power.

How else they can damage your battery and make you buy a new pixel?
My Note 3 battery lasted exactly 10 years and died. That's because I charged it for 8 hours every time.

Anton .el PAPI., 12 Dec 2024things that could well have been there since the day these ... moreIf they didn't add it, you'll talk. They've added it, you're still talking. I'm pretty sure that only about a handful of phones have this feature.

        jgblanco88, 12 Dec 2024bro he 99% don't have the money to buy a sony hahaahXperia 10 VI?

          Such an useless feature.
Having Motorola edge 40 pro using omly 125W charger which had in box and using only fast charging. After almost 2 years of use my battery capacity is 92%.
Battery longevity is not anymore determined by a charging speeds like in past.
Also rather will always have 100% charge than left empty mid day if somethng happens
For many people this is tottaly useless feature.
Only few indviduals fins this worth.

Such a basic function only shows that all these "phones for gamers" are a scam because they don't have it either

I just don't understand spending money on something and not using what you pay for.

If they avoid designing it like the LG G8 that JerryRig had to flood with solvents to pry off the battery, then it will pass the qualifications even if it is sealed.

On the other hand, Xcover8 Pro is coming out next year.

Other brands have had these simple features for years. Once again Google is late.

battery manufacturers already compensate for this, really don't need any more nonsense, the battery should be labeled according to how much power it delivers
