Personally I’d do away with the iPhone 15 range as well, and just have an all usb-c and Apple intelligence ready iPhone line up.
As it stands keeping the 15 around after the launch of this new SE is going to be something of a headache for Apple when they have to explain to customers why it’s cost more, yet lacks features included on the cheaper SE.

But for a productthat makes one of the richest companies in the world billions every year, I don't think one more model will hurt them, especially since their lineup is still much much smaller than that of almost any other phone maker including much smaller ones.

Mik3, 12 hours agoWhat happened to the removable batteries? They went the way of the reliable vehicles able to do 600Mm with nothing but oil changes, spark plugs, belts/chains and an occassional isopropyl solution in the fuel tank. Now we're going to need new roads every 6km.

It's incredibly hard to find a sub 150g phone now. this was the phone I bought my niece when she was her birthday. I told her that looks isn't matter and it's a phone from 2022. and she's using it as her daily driver.

"Interestingly, while the UK left the EU in 2020, Apple will remove the Lightning-donning products from Northern Ireland, even if that's part of the UK."
Yes but, if you're not aware, Northern Ireland remained in the single market to avoid a necessary border with Ireland if they were to leave. So Northern Ireland continues to abide by single market rules, unlike the rest of the UK.
That's why.
Switzerland (and probably Norway) follow suit for the same reasons. While they're not part of the EU, they have deals with the EU to allow for the free movement of goods, which means compliance with EU regulations.

Lightning cable have royalty fees while USB-C does not.
Even though Apple is one of the members of USB Implementers Forum.

Plus Apple will get a slight break whilst the EU think up some other reasons to fine them 🤷

justasmile, 18 hours agoGood riddance for the SE3, though the iPhone 14 kinda doesn... moreThe SE3 had unique features no other iPhone sold had. The 14 is just a worse 15, barely anything unique compared to the newer models (maybe notch and glossy back). So you think less choice is good I guess.

>The iPhone SE is due to be replaced by a newer and better model next year anyway, so this thankfully isn't a huge loss.
That is your personal opinion. For fans of the classic iPhone design, the loss of the home button, rounded sides, small size and sub-150g weight is definitely not better. Personal opinion is not journalism.
