      Mediatek modems are pretty decent aren't they. Alot of MediaTek chipset phones have decent standby battery life and decent signal.

            I dont mind mediatek but mtk doesnt have a good track record modding and roms, tbh anything is better than tensor

Main one being that it will be a 3nm chip instead of 4nm so that alone should yield some inherent efficiency benefits and better thermals. What that ultimately does to day to day real world use though short of better battery life is yet to be determined.

                      I've had no major modem related issues on my 8 Pro since getting it over a year ago and I'm usually using Beta Android releases. The consensus around the 9 series phones with the newer Exynos is that it's even better than the revised 5300 Exynos in the 8 series phones.

                      As long as this new modem is as good as the 9 phones or a bit better, particularly in the battery usage department then I'm good.

                        Unpopular opinion : If there is no big upgrade, don't release a new phone each year.
