-google and download Nokia_Software_Updater_For_Retail_3.0.8
-install it
-connect your device and try to update your software.
I did that yesterday and it worked 100% on my unbranded Lumia 620.

http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/wp8-availability-in-asia-pacific/ says that lumia 620 is avaialable in india but still not updating my phone.

Lumia 920 factory unlock got Amber update last Wednesday (August 28th) Caribbean side (Digicel operator). Update looks awesome so far. Will experiment more but as for the "yellow hue" none on this one. OS Version: 8.0.10328.78, Firmware revision: 3047.0000.1326.2001

Hi guys, Im from India and i have Lumia 820. Recently (few days back) i had updated my phone and found only data sense. Radio, glance screen, etc are not available. Is it Amber update or anything else. Eagerly waiting for the radio and glance screen option.

u can do a thing....take the sim out of your phone and insert in another phone having wifi hotspot...then turn on wifi on your lumia and u would now be able to download your amber update...
