That guy said single core is useless. I never said anything against multicore, I just pointed out current facts and how single core isn't, quote - "useless"

    Both are equally important.

You're acting like every single person in the world only use their phone to do 1 task at a time. There's a reason why iPhone is like one of the best phone when it comes to single tasking, but also one of the worst phone when it comes to multitasking.

I think typo when they said it may be rebranded as the Poco X7 Pro. Pretty sure the meant F7 Pro.

I only said you can achieves a better multicore score despite a lower singlecore score (=without Cortex X)
          That's all...

I would add, lack of Cortex X won't bottleneck any game, because thermals and power consumption won't allow both CPU and GPU running at full speed at same time.

People have to understand that Cortex X925 at full speed consume alone...around 8W
Whole power consumption on heavy games (Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail) with Dimensity 9400 is...around 6W.
It's obvious CPU's charge stay low.
No doubt, heavy games will run a little slower on 8400 compared to 9400, but it's fully linked to GPU.

            Huh? You were saying?
It's almost as if you don't know what you're talking about.

In theory and in practical application are 2 different things bub.

MediaTek tried all big architecture and got a barely 2-3% lead over Qualcomm. 9300 was the first all big (not identical) core design and that did little for them which is why they reverted back to a staggered core choice.

8400 works because it is a upper mid range SoC and so the clocks are dialed back to keep power consumption in check. This does not scale well enough to make a flagship all big core SoC*YET*. This is both power and thermal limitation for a device that is not actively cooled.

Sure it might change in future but so far and as it stands, Single core performance is important. And even in future scaling will remain proportional (at least in mobile SoCs)

Big midium and little architecture only removes linear scaling, it cannot get rid of scaling.

Why Poco phones don't have familiar designs? Poco is losing because of all it phones are rebranding and recreating of Redmi's

Very good performance. In terms of multi-core performance, it handily beats everything other than last-gen flagships. The only (small) chink in its armor is the single-core performance. A true large core (such as X4) would have rectified the situation, and made it a truly well-rounded processor.

However, I understand why Mediatek would have decided to go this route. An X4 performance core would have positioned it very close to Dimensity 9300 in terms of CPU performance and could have led to cannibalisation. On the other hand, the difference between 8400 and 8300 (or upcoming 7400) would have become very large.

As per Geekerwan's charts, D8400 is the most efficient chip so far at upto 4 watts. It narrowly beats D9400 in terms of power efficiency upto the aforementioned power levels despite the latter being manufactured on a 3nm process.

Overall, this is a very impressive chip and I hope that it is adopted in a significant number of devices.

They just don't know what makes a system feel really fast for daily usage is single thread/IPC performance. They don't know that games that run 60+ fps need more IPC performance rather than multi core performance. They also don't know the reason why iOS feel really fast and their SoC mostly one generation ahead from competitor SoCs. Because their SoCs had such big cache and fast single thread performance so their IPC always ahead from competition. Yes multi core performance is great especially for multitasking, rendering, and run heavy optimized games, but as you said, the apps need to utilize it. While fast single core always benefit to anything.
