The saddest part for me is that LPDDR5T and LPDDR5X HighPerformance Rams are already out in market and chipset supported yet brands used the 2yr old tech

Not too surprising honestly, their latest chipset was a bigger jump than what 8 gen 3 was to 8 gen 2, and with new tech (oryon cores) comes issues, because this is basically their "first" gen with a new tech. The mid-year chipset sounds more ironing the potential issues the 8 Elite could've brought to the table (termals, and the like). Do not expect a high jump in performance for this one.

Brands have been testing the " 8g5" for months already.
That is why the multicore 12.000 rumor exists .

Much like the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the upcoming chip will be based on TSMC's 3nm process (N3P node), as revealed by the same source previously. Digital Chat Station also claims that the GPU performance of the next-gen Snapdragon chip will witness an uptick, though they didn't say by how much. It's important to remember that the Snapdragon 8 Elite (v1) is yet to make it to most global markets, except for the iQOO 13. That will change imminently, though, as Samsung and OnePlus bring their flagships to the world. With these factors in mind, we recommend taking this info about the Snapdragon 8 Elite v2's early arrival with a grain of salt.

IpsDisplay, 28 Dec 2024Your saying this in an era of increasing battery capacity ... moreWell, they do have a point though. What with some Android users either clearly being vocal about Emulation, pushing their phones to the level of some gaming console / pc or having nothing to do than play the most graphic intensive titles available on the Play Store all-day hence the discussion of "battery life" .

I knew this would happen since their SD 8 Elite 1 suffered Efficiency issues. Also, they really want to catch up with apple's a18 pro's efficiency.
Also, they want to release Elite 2. Which may have.
1. Better Efficiency.
2. Better PPW.
3. GPU Frequency at 2.0 GHZ.
4. Snapdragon Sound 2.0
5. APTX 2.0 for the Bluetooth 6.0
Not gonna be surprised if 2026 Smartphone lineup powered by Elite 2 will be more expensive.
