Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra camera leak lists pretty much identical sensors to the S24 Ultra

It seems like only the ultrawide camera hardware will be changed.

Thank you Samsung for forcing me to not spend my money on a new phone! My S22 Ultra seems to be the beacon of Samsung's technology until today because nothing has changed in recent years. My next phone won't be a Samsung except if I wait for S30 Ultra.

    200 MP 1/1.3" = 0.6 um
    50 MP 1/1.3" = 1.2 um

    Better dynamic range, better colour detection, excellent in low light, that is what 1.2 um is.

    Samsung is REFUSING to accept the fact. They are playing with 🔥 like Nokia did in 2010.

        I think that's why apple stuck to the 1/1.28" of 2022.

        That's why I like the 200MP idea.

          The flat screen on the s24 ultra was nice but not enough reason to upgrade my s23 ultra. Likewise, there still isn't any really reason to upgrade to the S25 ultra for me.

            Nameless, 28 Dec 2024Now that is a flop, unlike S25 Slim.S25 Slim is still meh compared to the rest of the market. The camera sensors are barely better; and the thinness is quite frankly useless when everyone's going to just slap a case on it. The thinness is just a gimmick and marketing that is meant to increase the price for no real justification.

Sure, 1"-type sensors exist and are widely used by Chinese flagships, but that doesn't make 1/1.3"-type sensors small either. They're just smaller than the 1"-type sensors while still being fairly large sensors.

It works well for telephotos like the HP9 setups that Vivo and Xiaomi have/will have, but there's no point in cropping from the main camera to achieve 4× zoom when dedicated telephotos would do better.

                          Nobody was expecting any camera upgrade.!

                              The last mid gen that I recommended from Samsung ? A52s 5G, damn that was a beast, for a fair price.
                              Since then it's downfall even in high end and don't get me started on MicroSD slot that they removed, I really consider going Xperia way since chinese maker are done with microsd too :/

                              It's like having a PC with 128 Gb and no slot for expansion. Considering the price these device are ... It's the least they could do to provide expansion again.

                                    Will wait for s27+ instead. Hope it comes with 16gb ram and 1tb storage. Currently using s24+ runs fine.
