Making a phone involves a lot of other costs, including modem, 5G patents, and plethora of wireless certifications that are not needed on a desktop PC. And there's IP certification and testing. Your comparison is dumb, and calling others Karen only shows how dumb you are as you don't even have a clue the point of the Karen meme.

    Apple closely controls the components for both products. iPhones objectively sell more than macs, they either changed entire body metrics just enough to change tooling and thereby manufacturing costs to make it seem like a "new" phone. iPhone XR had a 6.1 inch display, many subsequent iphones have displays witing 10ths/100ths to the size of this SE. I don't see the logic in making the SE deliberately more expensive for no reason when the whole point is for it to be an entry point for new Apple users.

    Keep your "only my deduction is logical" karen attitude to yourself.

                      Seems overpriced when you realise that Mac Mini M4 starts at $599 for 16/256. Half the RAM and quarter or half the Storage + obviously weaker, smaller and thereby cheaper silicon + display and cellular means almost the same selling price.

                      Apple is odd for dropping the best value and the questionable value all so close but hey, this is Apple.
                      Wheels and stands have costed more.

                        Let's see how things unfold. Sometimes the original plan is very different from what is speculated. For example, every year we say that Apple will introduce a high refresh rate for the base model, but it still hasn't been available to this day.

                                Should be ok least not 4.7 …. I prefer one camera . I’m bored of Samsung however I’ll wait for reviews .

Apple's strategy is right on the money, whether we as an individual like it or not. The compact phone ship has sailed long time ago.
