      1x main

      3x telephoto

      7x telephoto

      Most sensors are 50mp that can do a 2x crop to 12.5MP these days.

      So with those sensors, you have a range of 1x, 2x, 3x, 6x, 7x, and 14x.

      For ultrawide, I prefer to just use panorama mode with the main sensor. For extreme ultrawide, I find that using a 3x sensor on panorama gets me really, really nice photos (like 10,000x2000px) without the useless amounts of ugly, warped ground/sky in the photo.

What they should also do is use dual conversion gain more extensively in stock camera, they advertise dcg capability of sensors in marketing.

They've always used a periscope for 5x, ever since the Mi 10 Ultra, and used this 3.2x with a normal telephoto sensor till the xiaomi 14 and switched to the 5x again for the Xiaomi 15 Pro.

          I hope im wrong and they have a good focal length.

People tend to ignore that cus "samsung good" but im pretty sure they're both the same, you CHOOSE to have adverts, you most likely can disable em in the settings.

                  is a periscope really an upgrade? 5x is nice and all for long range zoom but it messes up the zoom range, the 1x-5x zoom range is too huge. Ig it'll appease normies but a 2.7-3.5x should be the first telephoto for phones, portraits look nice and you don't have to go far. And shorter zoom telephotos can be higher quality as well.

                            I'm wondering though, If I just had to pick 3 cameras, Main and ultrawide aside, I feel like Im more likely to use a 3x floating tele that can pull out great portraits and macros over a 5x or 10x periscope with insane long range abilities. I really dont find my self shooting super long range. I mostly shoot people or interesting subjects in 2x-4x but nothing beyond that. What do you guys think?

More often than not those features end up in the android version of the following years(decades for iOS LOL) and all manufacturers implement them on their own android skin

                                  But Apple AI feature is laughable compared to Galaxy AI.

                                  Not to mention, even chinese flagship with Android 15 still cant beat the software of Samsung with Android 14.
