any small phone will be my favourite
Iphone 16
S24
edge 50 neo
Xiaomi 15
x200 pro mini
etc

this poll isn't fair without the S25U.

You ahould either put all previous gen flagships (OnePlus 12, Vivo X100 Pro, Samsung S24U) or put all the new gen flagships (Oneplus 13, Vivo X200 Pro, Samsung S25U). Not only should you not compare a device with SD 8 Gen 3 and SD 8 Elite because of their different SoC, but also because their release dates are much farther than each other. S24U was released globally in the first quarter of 2024 and OnePlus 13 was released in China in the last quarter of 2024. Hell, I think OnePlus 13 hasn't been released globally yet. Rather, OnePlus 12 was released somewhere in the first quarter of 2024 (same as S24U), so it is a better comparison to S24U.

I'm not fanboying for Samsung. I didn't choose the S24U in the poll, and have little interest in the S25U. But say, if the Vivo X200 Pro or OnePlus 13 was released in early 2025 and the S25U was released in late 2024, and you were to pick between the new S25U and the old OnePlus 12 or Vivo X100 Pro in the poll, would that be fair?

The reason I'm making a fuss about this is because the data from this poll will give us a skewed picture of consumer preferences (particularly the enthusiast consumers), which might very well influence phone manufacturers. I'm studying in university and for many academic discussions, I have to pull data from various scientific papers and news articles available in the internet (i.e. not locked behind a paywall). So I'm kinda paranoid about it right now. Thank you for reading my wall of text and have a good day.

Back button? There's one in basically every app and if there isn't you can swipe the screen at the bottom left. A back button is not needed
            Number row? Swift keyboard
            Calculator history? Who cares?

I'm using the GSMArena android mobile app and the first poll isn't showing the "Submit" button. However, when viewing this news article from a browser, it works.

Candy-bar Flagship: Hands down the Xperia 1 VI. Not perfect but a complete-package specs flagship and offering some necessity that is some of then are now lone-wolf like MicroSDXC card slot, Front-Firing Stereo Speakers, no notch, 3.5mm jack, 2-stage camera button
Horizontal Foldable: Vivo X Fold3 Pro
Vertical Flip Foldable: Moto Razr 50 Ultra

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2025Pixel 9 pro xl and moto edge 50 ultra are noticeable flagships. I bought an Edge 50 Ultra, so we could say it's my favorite.
I don't say it's the best flagship out there (I'd probably say vivo x200 pro is, though it's not available here), but I'm very happy with it and that's what matters. I love the wooden back, the phone is so beautiful and I think it was a good deal for €740 with 1TB of storage.

Sony is currently the only brand offering a complete hardware experience all they got to do now is just improve their software, it doesn't need to the Ai bloat just QoL improvements and their own Media apps returning would be nice

As a s24u user, I envy vivo x200 pro camera and how good the overall phone is. Honorable mention to Oneplus 12/13..Value for money while offering flagship experience

Sony Xperia 1 VI, got it on solid sale 2 months ago (899 instead of 1349 euro)

Not the best flagship of 2024, but it has everything I need.

My first preference is that is the phone has root and custom toms

Based on paper, my vote goes to the X200 pro mini. Would've loved it Vivo released it globally.

Why the mini? It's easy to pack in the latest and greatest into a big phone. Restricting the volume creates innovation as it's more challenging to make.
