I don't care. I don't buy overpriced hyped useless tech anymore (done that when i was younger).. Samsung S series is totally out of place when you consider price/usage ratio: S and S+ are simply A series with 2-3x price, while Ultra is basically the same+wacom spen.. which is questionably usable on 6-7" screen (try writing on postit yellow notes more than 5 words.. you don't need AI for those)...

The fact that i still use Samsung phone with Exynos since 2020, and still say this, just a proof that i am pretty satisfied with Samsung phone with Exynos.

As pointed out by another user, the reason the price of the s24 and 24+ remained same was because samsung used exynos, while the ultra got a price increase because of using snapdragon. Not increasing the price while giving 7 years of support improved the sales.

So, samsung is still the having great achievement here, compared to chinese brand.

Azu10157, 04 Jan 2025What are you even talking about? 2021 Samsung phones that use plastic back (S21, A52, etc) are having their plastic backs unglued due to the wear and tear of the adhesive. This is actually very common issue. I was making a joke that this might be one reason the S24 are picking up in sales due to S21 users wanting to upgrade. LOL.

Just saying that if, in the markets where Samsung offered the variant with their in-house chipset, they offered the variant with better hardware, then the buyers in those markets would've been the regular consumers PLUS the more tech-savvy ones, hence more sales.

Switching the chip to Exynos is the reason how they kept the price the same while increasing the update support and base configurations, which also explains why S24 Ultra, Z Flip6 and Z Fold6 saw 100$ price jumps instead.

potato4k, 04 Jan 2025Probably because S21 users have their plastic backs falling... morePlastic should never have been used for the sandwich design. It warps and will peel off from the frame eventually. Regluing will not help. But repairability is affected if a unibody design is used. The best solution is to use glass for flagships and metal for other models. Samsung and other brands should have realised by now that plastic back does not work well. Do not get a phone with a plastic back!

Flop after flop after flop since TM Roh took over.
Remember the S10 line-up? The last good line-up of Galaxy phones? Yeah. That sold over 40 million units and that was DOWN from the S9 line-up sales.
Now Samsung can't even sell half of that.
THAT is how much of a failure the "let's copy the iPhone" strategy has been.
