Shellyman Studios, 03 Jan 2025I predict the S25 series sales will be higher.if they did snapdragon worldwide like the S23 it would've been better.

the S24 really outpaces sales of the S23 because they help to warm user's hands during winter. especially for the exystove variant. they love to make snapdragon version exclusive to USA and china.

Backdoors for espionage?
I see yo... moreFacts don't require kool-aid. Try reading my comment, then read it again through something besides a US / Western lens. As noted in the prior comment, many Eastern / Asian nations have also phased out or outright banned Huawei. Trump isn't in charge there, and many of these actions occurred without direct US influence (or Trump in office). Are these the "said countries" you speak of?
Huawei doesn't need to do great globally, and neither does Honor because both are propped up by the Chinese government. And they don't do well globally.
Why wouldn't Honor, which is allowed to use the Google app store, be crushing all opposition as you claim was imminent? Honor could just as easily have rolled out the 3 screen crease 'n break. They didn't. Honor has Android and Google access, and access to the 'best hardware' for their devices - -which I presume is the Kirin chip since Huawei is so awesome. All of my claims can be found at the Huawei entry on Wikipedia. Where are your claims from?

I see you are drinking in the same US Koolaid..
As if US and Western companies don't do exactly the same thing they are accusing Huawei of..
Say what you like, Huawei was doing great and projected to do much better until the US government crippled them..
Trump systematically took out Huawei from the equation,to preserve US trade advantages..
The same way the want to take out Tiktok, with unfounded allegations and intimidation..
Why would the said countries buy Huawei phones if they would not get access to Android and Google Apps?
Why would the said countries buy Huawei products,if they are blocked from using the best possible hardware for their devices?

jiyen235, 03 Jan 2025The S24 Ultra, where I live, costs 1000 dollars now. Back w... moreNah, Samsung doesn't lower any price of their flagship. Those are carriers and retail store who do that. Why? Because the newer model would soon be out and people would prefer to add a little more cash and buy the newer version rather than same priced old one. Only when a smartphone is out that's when Samsung gives their 750 dollar trade-in for any buyer. And besides the 1000dollar price isn't cheap for some people and that's only for a 256gb I suppose. If only it's true

Anonymous, 03 Jan 2025That's how they are gonna be destroyed. Now imagine a ... moreYou're misguided, as is the other guy talking about 'only one country could release a phone and its not the US'. Yeah, one country that non-stop pumps out products on Wish, Temu, and banggood that are a joke 🤭. Here's the thing about Huawei who was according to some people around here, about to take over the world:
Honor is still making the same phones and they didn't take over anything. People can buy any Chinesium phone they want. Newsflash: They don't, especially in the US. Likely 95%+ of people stick with what their phone carrier has in store - Samsung, Apple, Moto, Pixel. You're not walking in to the t-mobile store and getting some pos Find x9 phone. Good? Bad? It's the way it is.
The UK, France, Germany, and 7 other EU countries, and also New Zealand have all phased out or outright banned Huawei; not just the US at Samsung or Apple's behest, as is so often falsely claimed. Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Costa Rica; it isn't just Western Countries. The reason isn't necessarily outright espionage, but bugs in everything they make that leave the door open for (likely PRC) hackers to get in. Violation of trade sanctions is another reason. Huawei made their bed, they can lie in it.
