One of them is thicker than previously thought.

ps: magnesium, titanium, carbon fiber, copper, silicon or mixing of these to make it feather light. they maybe try partnership with pantone for colors or just buy it.

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2025You should certainly buy a Galaxy S from the previous year ... moreThey are not the same price. The A series phone will still be much cheaper.

J, 05 Jan 2025You don't really gain much with the Samsung flagships ... moreYou should certainly buy a Galaxy S from the previous year (with 7 years‘ support) rather than a Galaxy A56 or A76, which will be around the same price, with 6 years’ support. In particular, you'll gain a more powerful processor capable of lasting those 6 years of ownership, and induction charging, which is crucial when the socket is dirty or damaged.

Still waiting for the battery capacity. I don't have any hope for the iPhone, but Samsung might be able to use the S25 Slim to showcase its silicon carbide battery tech.

You know you'll never get jump from 5000mAh straight to 6000mAh battery. Just forget this nonsense you wrote. Not anytime soon. Increases will come gradually by 200-300 mAh. Especially if phones will get slimmer, which is welcome trend by me at least. Phones got too big and too thick imo.

Bhaumik Shah, 04 Jan 2025I like Samsung One UI very Much. I have Samsung phone , tab... moreYou don't really gain much with the Samsung flagships honestly. Most people shouldn't be buying flagships unless they get carrier deals or some severe discount. My S24 base was 50 percent discounted otherwise I would just get an A series or one of the variety of other android options.

jiyen235, 05 Jan 2025thinness doesn't matter as much as being lightweight d... moreNow I actually agree with you. The bulking up of phones is out of control. 170 to 180g should be the target. Then again, it is assumed that shaving the thickness would also shave the weight.

thinness doesn't matter as much as being lightweight does. The 15 Plus felt comfortable to me compared to the 14 Pro Max, so i'd say around 160-180g for a flagship regular sized phone would be a great lightweight experience.

For example: Samsung made fun of apple over Apple skipping chargers and 'immediately' next year did the same thing. They didn't even wait a couple of years.

Now they're doing something similarish with slim.

So if the iPhone 17 Air price is going to $899 then the base iphone 17 will be cost at $799 which is good because it has a 120hz LTPO then 6.3 inches and a 24mp front camera so it's more worth waiting than the iphone 16.

I like Samsung One UI very Much. I have Samsung phone , tab and buds. Been using an A73 since a Year and a half. Inam a heavy user. But will not change the phone till they star putting 6000+ maH batteries on Samsung flagships. That, coupled with the eficient M14 oled display and 2nm processors will really make using phones fun again

So, there maybe more to it in the z9 endurance story.

Some Honor phones (don't recall the name) are also ridiculously light while packing a 5000mah battery. The Vivo foldable also packs a massive battery for a foldable.

Edit: Honor 300 was the one in my mind. 7mm thickness, 175gm, 5300mah battery. It's massive, but I don't think the weight gain would be that much. It shouldn't be impossible to cram in a 5000mah battery in an s24 chassis.

Do you think changing the plastic back every 6 months means improvements? Those Chinese phones every 6 months are basically rebadged of the same ODM designed phones. Read up, majority of phones from the Chinese OEMs are basically ODMs. They hardly do anything other than installing the firmware.
