Thankfully the battery has remained the same as the Chinese version. Unlike some other phones that have launched with a smaller capacity

I repeat what Cpt.Power (chinese phone fans) once said about IP rating.
"Any IP rating is USELESS and GIMMICK, if it doesn't come with total Warranty for the broken phone after being submerged in water."

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2025I'm not paying close to $200 more than what I spent on... morePoco X6 Pro costs as much as A55 in Europe. Which is absolutely bad for Poco. Only on paper it gets some benchmark results.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2025No 7 OS upgrades = no buy.I'm not paying close to $200 more than what I spent on the X6 Pro to get Galaxy A55 for longer updoots. I'd resell the X6 Pro by year 3 then add a few more to get something definitely better while the A55 user still stuck with A55.
My technician friend now has to do side hustles because he gets less repairs and it's mostly cheaper to upgrade bow than to repair stuff

NeonHD, 04 Jan 2025But for those that do care about IP rating, this phone real... moreThose practices are a surefire way of breaking the IP rating. It's not meant for abuse and they lose anyway when repairs have to be done.

NeonHD, 04 Jan 2025But for those that do care about IP rating, this phone real... moreMy Note 5 Ai Dual Cam also didnt have any IP rating but it survived the pocket water test in youtube videos. Before the time of smartphones i think i dropped my phone to a toilet once and then all it needed was to dry up and nothing was wrong with it after.
My F5 have that IP53 that is basically same as not have that IP rating but i dont care as i dont do any of that you mentioned in your post. Well even when i work with water and my cloths are wet every day at work and i have no issues with the phones i have had trough time.
Also if that would be one of my main things i look from a phone then i would not even look any other phone then the rugged phones.
If rugged phone have water damage then maybe it goes under warranty cause it's the rugged category that is basically built to be resistant to environment

NoOne75, 04 Jan 2025Like i said yesterday, or 2 days ago. Cheap LYT-600, 1/1.95... moreBrother, not everything can be solved with sensor size alone. Wasn't the iPhone or Google Pixel consistently among the best phone cameras around for years while using old sensors? Image processing has a lot to do when it comes to image quality. Dimensity 8400 has a new ISP so we'll have to wait for reviews but I'm sure it will be decent.
POCO F6 also has this sensor and that phone takes great pictures. Guess what, it is because the ISP inside the SD 8s Gen 3 is also quite good.

It's for people who shower with their phone every day, or those that like to clean their phone by literally washing it. Or maybe people who swim and want to use their phone underwater.
I think it's a luxury feature to have, but like you said not everyone cares, needs or appreciates it. I do.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2025I used to like Xiaomi.... Back when they didn't suck l... moreWell, I don't deny that IPS is better than OLED in a few regards (e.g. color accuracy), but most of the good IPS displays simply do not exist anymore.
The last great IPS panel was used on the LG G7 ThinQ. After that, I am not aware of any phone with a quality IPS panel. Most of the phones nowadays using IPS are low-end/midrangers which only get up to 600 nits max, so it's not hard to imagine how horrible those IPS dislays are.
If you're aware of any recent phones with quality IPS panels, I would be eager to know. Otherwise, the fact is that today's OLED is much better than today's IPS panels.

Like i said yesterday, or 2 days ago. Cheap LYT-600, 1/1.95" size - same as Poco M7 Pro (!).
Here's one of the 1st reviews, M7 Pro 5G: https://www.smartprix.com/bytes/poco-m7-pro-5g-review-pros-and-cons/
Same main Sensor, as the X7, go figure. 45W Charging. M6 Pro 4G: 65W max. charging, 8 MP rubbish UWA cam, the X7 still does have into 2025 the same 8 MP cam...no change since 2019/20 Note 8 Pro, Note 9 Pro with that inferior, old Sensor.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2025No 7 OS upgrades = no buy.Personally for mid range phone 3-4 years of android version updates and 4-5 years of security updates is enough.
For flagships and premium phones 5-7 years of android updates and 6-7 years security updates should be the new standard.

I used to like Xiaomi.... Back when they didn't suck like Samsung.
I stopped reading the article the moment I saw the word OLED.
I am allergic to OLED that's why I only buy smart devices with IPS LCD screen.

rizki1, 04 Jan 2025On paper the X7 Pro is better than the F6, Dimensity 8400 i... moreX6 Pro was also better then F5 on a lot of things. Now X7 Pro same over F6.
But waiting the half a year for F7 that will be better then the X7 Pro and probably also have the IP69 rating like the Poco trend is for the year 2025 with these releases.
That seems to be the case as the X series be released in January-February and sets the trend of features to be on other phones in the same year later releases.
When i waited for F5 release i was looking X5 Pro to get but X5 Pro problem was that it come out with Android 12 and not with 13 like it should of being released. Seem like they fix that with X6 Pro and now X7 Pro to come with latest android number.
