Daniel.kh, 08 Jan 2025Im a photographer and i can give you hundreds of lab test r... morenasa cameras and dslr cameras work too different from phone camera sensors...
do you know that nasa cameras capture different signals than what we see? they do post-processing, and that is too far from what eyes can really see...
and dslr? do they employ a.i. post-processing...
cameras on phones do that... besides, apart from sensor size, there are technologies that can harness the advantage of such size for smaller sensor, like dual-layer...
while i disagree from other commenter who invalidates the advantage of having bigger sensor, i also disagree that it is all about bigger sensor, no... it is not even the only consideration for hardware, and if we include software in the mix, you'd know that it is not all about bigger sensor... what i am trying to say here is that, there is no actual dichotomy between your arguments - yes, sensor size is important, as much as the things he mentioned (and not mentioned)...

Zero interest unless it launches in my countries market ... which it won't as they're afraid to challenge Samung and Apple.

Invetor, 08 Jan 2025personally I'd go with Find X8 Ultra (or Oneplus 13). ... moreYes, It’s highly likely that this time the Find X8 Ultra will make its way to the global market.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2025Why almost every chinese phone looks similar to each other?... moreFor me looks good, have no issues with circle.
Anyway, chinese phones have bigger sensors than apple, samsung and google, thats why they will alyways have bigger camera bump, because bigger sensor need bigger lenses and more space for stabilization.

Tiramisu , 08 Jan 2025Hello, If you were to choose between this, the global x200 ... moreLet's at least wait for all of them to get released first and then decide, eh? 😂

Go for xiaomi 15 Ultra. Whenever Xiaomi releases an Ultra, it's always the best.

AUTHORITY, 08 Jan 2025I never said sensor size is not important. I said it's... moreIm a photographer and i can give you hundreds of lab test results that concludes sensor size is the main role in image quality if not than NASA didn't need to create massive sensors for their telescopes they could simply put a 1 inch sensor on the telescope and fixed everything with processing than why they're not doing it?! i can shoot photos in my 10 year old camera better than any smartphone on the market to this day just don't say sensor size is not the main role.

Finally, they putting the Zeiss logo on the top-right side instead of that module with "Ultra" written inside it. Looks way better this way

Aierlan, 08 Jan 2025Yeah. The ultrawide and main sensor are supposedly both 1/1... moreInteresting choice.
It may prove to be a wrong one, because 35mm may be too narrow and whatever the Ultrawide may be too wide.

Daniel.kh, 08 Jan 2025You have zero information about cameras how do you say sens... moreI never said sensor size is not important. I said it's not a major determinant of image quality.
Apple uses a 1/3.06" sensor for its 5x telephoto, and yet it takes better images than the S24 Ultra's 5x telephoto.
Sensor size isn't everything, bro.

Invetor, 08 Jan 2025I wouldn't say Find X8 takes better photos than Oneplu... moreReally? Hmm.
Which do you advise? Based on the review on this site, I've been considering getting the OnePlus 13 or Oppo Find X8 as they are well within my budget.
GSMArena praises the image quality of the Oppo despite its smaller sensor; the same can't be said about the OnePlus.

AUTHORITY, 08 Jan 2025Sensor size does not determine image quality. Good processi... moreYou have zero information about cameras how do you say sensor size has no effect on image quality ?! Then what is the purpose of medium format cameras, if you wanna give missinformation about smartphones you welcome to do so but sensor size is playing the main role in image quality!

Tiramisu, 08 Jan 2025I’m not really sure. Which one would you suggest?
I need t... morepersonally I'd go with Find X8 Ultra (or Oneplus 13).
I find Oppo's image processing to be quite tasteful. Their software is smooth and free of bugs and bloatware.
Hopefully it'll be released outside China. (and hopefully I'll have the money to buy one 🤣)

Aierlan, 08 Jan 2025Yeah. The ultrawide and main sensor are supposedly both 1/1... moreyeah if the main camera is 35mm, then it makes a kot of sense.
it'll be very interesting for sure. It's about time someone made 35mm main camera like nubia.
