13 January 2025
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is probably the least known device in the upcoming S25 series.

I want small phones so badly. Why all the small phones are expensive? Why Chinese companys or samsung don't make small midranges?!

I don't need the latest and greatest chipset. I just want it to be powerful enough and most importantly be efficient.

DarlingYext, 20 hours ago"..flag bearer of Android.." Lmao that was a g... more"Samsung is unbeatable in features and productivity. Samsung Dex and Routines alone made Samsung Galaxy to be the real smartphone while others are simply expensive toys."

So what if I don't need/want any of those features, but I want the best cameras on any phone, and the fastest possible charging? Still Galaxy is the best? What if I simply don't like One UI? Still Galaxy is the best?

Come on, it's not that simple, when people have preferences.

You're just an uneducated neophyte as every comment shows
This "So what if I don't need/want any of those features if only we get relief from your posts.
The answer is simple just like you, so instead of TROLLING in everything Samsung buy another phone"
Vivo ? Apple? Xiaomi ? EVERY Samsung you dimness clouds all

Lmao ? Not yet as it seems that's where all your comments come from these are typical for a person who is just say an automaton. You can't help it so when you write LMAO...

I expect it... to be slimmer? Like... they all know we want MORE battery and we don't care about slim devices, right?

Samsung, the current progress feels like a revolution, which means you only get a few phone upgrades every year. Samsung's big revolution is only in the Samsung S21 Ultra which is quite good compared to S20 Ultra, this is what is called a new era, then you will only see little by little upgrades with new feature names to attract consumers, and maintain price increases and profits. According to the law of evolutionary progress, it has a time span of 7 years since creation. So follow me, Ignore what you hear from promotion companies, maximize the potential that exists. Buy Samsung S28 Ultra in years 2028

                          - The iPhone 12 Mini alone sold more units than the entire S21 line-up combined.

                          - The iPhone Mini was released TWICE alongside and even smaller iPhone SE that was a smash hit.

                          - The iPhone 12 Mini and 13 Mini outsold the new Plus variants.

                          - When an OEM launches a phone in two sizes, the smaller one always outperforms the larger one.

                          - People want small POWERFUL phones. Not smaller and watered down versions of flagships.

DarlingYext, 13 Jan 2025Why is thinness a selling point now? LmaoFeels like 2006 again

So this thing is getting a new 3x zoom camera, but the Ultra has the same 12mp POS it's had for 4 years? Samsung what are you doing?

mawlki, 22 hours agoMore and more people around me go s24 size for a phone, so ... moreAlthough I personally like smaller phones, I doubt people getting the regular Galaxy S for the size. Most people I've seen got the regular Galaxy S because it's the cheapest from the lineup. If they were given the option of larger screen for the same price, they would opt for larger screen.

There are even rumors that Samsung would discontinue the regular Galaxy S model starting with the S26, meaning the "smallest" option would either be the S26+ or S26 slim. It's sad, but unfortunate reality.

Sam N8 808 owner, 21 hours agoAgreed that they have to keep up, but... How come even the... moreSamsung cannot avoid it even if they wanted to. Samsung is perceived by the public as the flag bearer of Android, the main competitor to Apple. As such, Samsung has to maintain product and feature parity with Apple. If not, people will wonder "what? How come Samsung didn't do that?", and it will hurt Samsung's brand value.

And that's a good thing. It's called competition. We are at peak smartphone. It's easy to just pack in everything including the kitchen sink into a big and bulky phone. But put a limitation on it, ie thinness, and innovation will arise. Look at the Macbook Air. When Jobs announced it at the first time, it was laughed at. People were saying "who wanted something that thin?" Fast forward, it jumpstarted the ultrabook initiative, forcing AMD to improve efficiency (forget intel, they sucked), forcing Apple to innovate with Apple Silicon, and now we have Snapdragon X Elite. Somebody had to take the first step.
