    These polls don't reflect the real world
    Samsung being first place makes sense but after that, i can guarantee you that ain't nobody besides smartphone enthusiasts have heard about a phone called "Vivo X200"
    Samsungs and iPhones are 90% of phones you'll see outside and the occasional Chinese midranger here and there

I work for a company that imports phones in the country I live in. Toyota also sells the most cars, but that doesn't mean they're the best. I'm careful with the money I spend and I want to get the best product for the best price. Not overpriced products. I'm happy for you that you're happy with the fact that Samsung, from a company with its own style, has become "the same garbage every year." But I'm not. They're trying so hard to outdo Apple that they've become the same as them. Apple at least rotates their camera island every year. Samsung hasn't even done that for 5 years. The same brick-like design every year with absolutely minimal hardware improvements. Not to mention that they're making things worse. Like the decision to remove the Bluetooth functions from the S-Pen. Every Chinese flagship phone got A15 more than a month ago, Samsung is still on BETA... Even my almost 4 year old 1+ 10 Pro will get A15 this month. But if these things make you proud - I'm happy for you!

        Nah, it's actually crazy how much Sony Xperia 1 VI is underrated. Best flagship in 2024, and only 395 votes....

            I've had ecery S phone Samsung has made.

            But do you really think people buy Samsung because they prefer it and not because they don't know any better?

            I've got friends, very well versed in IT, that buy horrible Samsung TVs (7000 series) because it's Samsung. They didnt even bother to do one single internet search.

              > upset and sad
              > make joke about Samsung to hide the sad feeling.

                Tbh outside of the moto razr and the z flip there's isn't many options for flip style foldables in the west. Yes European countries get the xiaomi flop but it's not something that's received a lot of coverage so it's hard to say how good it is

                      You can have even 1000 years of updates but your hardware wont last that long.
                      For what sake companies giving more than 2 OS upgrades if they dont give more than 2 years of warranty.
                      If your phone for some reason starts bricking or get faulty yo have to apy expensive repair in case of Samsung S24 Ultra winner of this poll it still can be between 300-700 eur depends on damage done. Once your warranty if off you have to pay expensive repair.
                      And as a good example rather will pay 1000 eur for new phone than fix 2-3 years old phone for 500 bucks. Average between what i said 300-700.

                          Yes anyone can buy anyphone anywhere does not matter the country unless you are citizen of North korea and maybe Cuba.
                          Its about warranty claims and possible repairs.
                          If you buy a 1000 eur phone which due to lets say accident or unexpected event breaks and cant be fixed in your country you have a problem a big one.
                          So its not only about buying from online possibilities like Amazon, Alliexpress, TaoBao, With, Teemu, Shein, Ebay, Heureka etc.

                            rizki1, 7 hours agoIt's quite surprising that the 16 Pro Max is ranked 5t... moreOneplus 13 for 700 eur is way better than S24 ultra its even way better than S25 Ultra whic is not released yet just because for half the price you get 100 times better specs.
                            Even the Oneplus 13R for 400 is way better than any samsung ever created.

                              Forcing by giving a 1000-2000 eur phones with specs worth maybe 500.
                              While said chiense phones excells in every category and are way better than Samsug for much less in price.

                              Motorola 50 ultra is good example.
                              Oneplus 13 too. Available in my country for 700 and the 13R for 400 eur.
                              And i can continue with more awesome deals.

                                make equal ground i mean make all phones from all brands available in all 206 countries in world and i can guarantee you samsung wont be even top ten also google or Apple.
                                Because said cinese brands for half the price can make equal specced device and for 2/3 of price of 16 pro max or S24 Ultra chinese phones comes with 1000 times better specs.
                                Comparing S24 ultra from Samsung which is available litterary everywhere and they put billions into advertising so their mediocre flagsip can sell well. Comparig this phone to chinese flagsips like Vivo X200 or Huawei 70 Ultra, Best Honor Magic Xiaomi 14 ultra etc. is not adequate.
                                Some brands can afford to pay such big advertising like Samsung does and even if the could its useless.
                                Good phones does not need any paid advertising because the best AD is the words of the people spread troughout the family, friends and the world i have this phone and were so happy with it.

                                  True to my pledge, if I want a flagship (candybar) smartphone, I want the most complete package one, from MicroSDXC to headphone jack, no notch, 2 step camera button, Front-Firing Stereo Speakers, and that (only) option? The Xperia 1 VI fulfilled the requirements so easily. It may not be perfect at all, it may not lead the chart like used to, it may not sell a lot, but hey, ending on the middle of the pack on the poll results considering the hate and widespread criticism it gets that dragged down for decades? It's doing decently for Sony Xperia standard these days, and that's I'm glad. And yes, I owned 8 Xperia throughout 14 years including my current Sony Xperia 1 II from 2020, so I ain't yapping here.

                                      If I spend at least $1000 on a smartphone, it is safe to buy a Galaxy or Pixel in the Android world. I prioritize software over hardware.
