Well I buy the Note/Ultra series for the Stylus and cameras. I use the stylus a lot for quickly responding to my agencies on artworks or layouts, to take quick notes and also for precise photos / audio / video editing on phone. This news is actually sad because I use the stylus as a remote frequently too as S24 Ultra comes across as quite a heavy phone with a case on, while taking selfies. I hope they don't step back on such a small but helpful feature.

Does anyone use it to take notes? (Anyone in the comments? Anyone?)

Have been waiting for the new S25. This will be the reason I don't buy it. One of the best features I use regularly that sets this phone apart. They've lost a customer in this. Ridiculous. Rounded corners over a functionality that makes it worth the ridiculous cost?!?

What? You can take photo like using Harry Potter wand no more? Welp that's bad

Not only are they using cheaper and lower grade M13 materials for their display , but are also removing existing features.

I hope consumers vote from their wallet and teach Samsung a lesson !

Alas , if this sells well, then Samsung would never bring these features back.

The gestures and air commands are literally what the majority of people use the most. That's what sets the S-pen apart from regular styluses.

This is a huge disappointment for me. I use the stylus for photos all the time on my Note 20 Ultra. The s25 Ultra was going to be my new upgrade and that was a main selling point. Will wait until the unpacked session for confirmation, but if confirmed then it looks like I will be going for the S24 Ultra 😔

brsdrgn, 10 Jan 2025It's so clear that you didn't understand my point... moreWell, consumers believed this same company that took out the jack so they could add 400mah to the battery. Except that 400mah gets wasted by the Bluetooth needed to run wireless buds.

I'm sure, this decision is made after investigeting pen usage statistics, collected from all ultra devices. No decision would be made in the blind. Food for your thought.

Using the stylus as a remote shutter is the only thing out of these I've used with my note, but even if they're rarely used they're nice to have. I guess soon(as in 2 years or something) they'll remove the spen entirely from the body and the note will be dead not just in name but in actuality too.

They should really make two options of the phone. Having an S pen is useful but you're also losing out on a ton of space for battery and cooling
