Cpt.Power, 12 Jan 2025Honestly who cares??? Oh i know JerryRigEverything cares. ... more‘Apple 6 were first folding phones they nicely fold one way but did not go back but pioneered this tech for RoyaleFlexpai and then Samsung as a second fold phone on market.’

Wrong Power, it was actually Huawei with the Nexus 6p that immediately followed Apple’s example, and arguably pioneered Android’s folding phone market 🤔

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2025Big failure for sure. Downgraded everything, expensive esi... moreE-sim doesnt even work with 90% of the worlds providers??? give your head a shake soft lad.
I use E-sims all over the world, and have yet to run into a country that doesnt offer e sims from multiple carriers, there are a few countries that do not sure, but most of asia, almost all of europe, the UK, all of north america, most of central and many south american countries, you might struggle to get one in antarctica, you clown, the rest of the world is fair game

          Big failure for sure.
Downgraded everything, expensive esim ( walled garden people tcnk f again which many are fed up with ) - esim does even not work with 90% of world providers..

Only selling point is thinness. Maybe that tech will be useful' later for other cases, but this one is a fail. It reminds me those foldable. We almost don't talk of those things anymore.

The idea of Chinese phones which maintain the same thickness but with 6000mAh+++ make more sense.

Did we (consumers) asked or needed thinner devices?
Or we asked and always needed better battery?

And when people put it in their pockets and the phone starts bending, they'll only have themselves to blame.

Plastic phones had a level of flexibility to them. But glass and metal phones don't.
Don't cry if you buy this and it bends! You've been warned.

                            Development should be:
More functionality, more durability, more sustainability, more repairability,, more efficiency, more affordabilty and so on. I can't see anything of this here. Just a geektoy for geeks.

                              Honestly who cares???
                              Oh i know JerryRigEverything cares.
Cant wait to see as he breaks another phone on its working bench table just like he did with 15 pro max.
Apple 6 were first folding phones they nicely fold one way but did not go back but pioneered this tech for RoyaleFlexpai and then Samsung as a second fold phone on market.
This super thin phone will be first which will snap in half both way from up to down and probbably side ways too.

Up to now the smallest phone ever made were Zanco T1 tiny pone with:
                              Single Sim, GSM, Nano SIM
                              Dimensions 46.7 x 21 x 12.7 mm
                              Display: 0.49 inches, 64 x 32 pixels
                              RAM: 32 MB
                              Storage: 32 MB
                              GPRS
                              Bluetooth
                              3.5mm Headphone Jack
                              Battery: 200 mAh

And when comes to slabs its either Oppo R5 with 4,8mm or Huawei XT Ultimate unfolded have thickness 3,6-4,8mm.

I'm intrigued. So a thin phone with the case will be as thick as a normal phone without a case. Looking forwarg to that. No more bricks.

When you take planes, they measure the widest points of your luggage to determine the size of your hand-carry. When you ship goods, all shippers take the widest and longest and deepest values as the official value. When they talk about phones screen size, they talk about the largest possible value (LOL 6.1" diagonal, for example).
Why is it that for thinness, we are taking the smallest value? If the camera bump is like 10mm, is it still considered thin?
