IDC reports that the smartphone market grew in 2024, Apple and Samsung still lead the pack

This is from a preliminary report for Q4 and the whole 2024. Xiaomi is on an upswing and Transsion did pretty well for itself too.

    It's incredible that Samsung, with the thousands of phones it launches, can't sell more than Apple, which only launches 3 phones per year, haha

      I don't trust that statistics. No way few other brands, apart from those listed, have 32% combined sales! That would mean that each 3rd person on the street has a phone, which is not from vendors on the list. No way. At least not in Europe.

          At least make it a top 10 to be more detailed.. 32% is quite big..
