I dont want it either for, yeah, the poor battery. Its not like the ally needs official dock to put out the full power, just get a random usb c dock with enough power and display out. Yeah the swoled already does blow them away in battery.

I don't want it at all as it has poor battery life and has a microSD card slot issue. If I'm forced to buy a handheld PC right now, I'll probably buy a Lenovo Legion Go. The battery life is pretty much the same as that of the Asus ROG Ally, but it has a much bigger screen, and it doesn't have a microSD card slot issue. By the way, the ROG Gaming Charger Dock is now on sale at $29.99. The full price is $64.99. I guess you mean a third-party dock. Which dock is $10? In any case, the Nintendo Switch 2 should blow the Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go out of the water in terms of battery life.

Or do you only count msrp because nintendo barely decreases prices? The thing is almost 2 years old by now and theres a successor. I know about the poor battery and sd slot issues. But its still not 700$+. Add $10 and buy a dock if you really want one.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is about 8 times as powerful as the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch has a 6.2" screen. Apparently the Nintendo Switch 2 has a 8.4" screen. I don't think that $499.99 is expensive for what it is. I'm not against $399.99, but in my opinion, that's a wishful thinking.

It's much more powerful than the Steam Deck. The effective GPU performance of the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme is 4.3 TFLOPS, but the devices with this APU is about $700+, and they don't come with docks.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is much more powerful than the Steam Deck (3.09 TFLOPS vs 1.6 TFLOPS). It has a bigger screen and comes with a dock. I think that the price of the LCD model of the Nintendo Switch 2 will be $499.99.

I didn't find playing Nintendo Switch games by using Joy-Con controllers uncomfortable. You don't have to buy a Nintendo Switch Pro controller, by the way, because the Nintendo Switch supports third-party controllers.

                              Have you look at the price of the SD Elite or Dimensity 9400? Around 150$ for the chip ALONE. Switch 2 is expected to 400$. That is those chip are more than a third of the price!! There is good reason why you will find those chips only in 800$ devices.

Those without a Switch Pro controller will take a beating when playing their favorite games. Both Xbox and PlayStation include proper controls on their consoles. Nintendo gives you the controller to attach the Joy Cons and straps but forces you to pay for the proper controller separately.

You should be promoted to editor of GSMArena. Your entire post is great. I bought physical Splatoon 3 for $49.95 but it's still $70 on the eShop. I once found a physical Animal Crossing for $31.45, and Nintendo sometimes offers discounts or coupons for the eShop. I just wish I could find more offers to buy Splatoon amiibos because they give exclusive cosmetics.
