It is undoubtedly the thinnest, but by how much?

samsung has already been releasing the world's slimmest flagship for years. why do they want to make them even slimmer, instead of fitting bigger batteries and camera sensors in the extra internal space they created?

It being slim isn't really a selling point, and it's not even slim enough compared to the other devices in the S series, but it's likely going to have terrible battery life, and it will be extremely expensive. Truly pointless.

More Battery would be so much more useful than this thin-trend.
Even 9mm thickness is fine if the rear edges are curved (e.g. OnePlus Nord 2 5G) and the phone will be in a case anyway and has a protruding camera assembly.

      Dear Manufcturers: please ensure
      - sufficient battery to go 24h at Battery EOL (80%) with a real heavy usage profile:
--- 3-4 hours of GPS navigation at full brightness,
      --- a few hours Videos /Scrolling apps
      --- constant BT music
--- all on 5G at bad reception (not wifi)
      - rounded rear corners and not too much width for easy grip
      - camera bump placement so the phone doesn't wobble when it's lying on the table and you're typing

This thinness is such an annoying feat to achieve.

@GSMArena: Updating your battery tests to the mentioned 'real heavy usecase' would be cool :) (even if it's hard to create a reproduceable 5G situation; maybe use metal coated glass (thermo-windows) as a box to simulate it).

My S24+ is already super thin at 7.7mm, I am even nervous to hold it without a case. Having something even thinner is crazy!

The slim model should have had fast charging, as a compensation for lower battery capacity.

So whats the point? Its barely thinner than regular s25

Jzgerardus, 16 hours agoCant wait for the S27 Thicki genuinely am onboard with this idea, would love a thick phone that's packed to the brim with battery and top tier camera hardware. Like 9-12 mm. The camera bumps are huge anyways, why not fill it up with battery yk?

So much hype for literally nothing. Doesn't even justify removing the audio jack.

If you remove the names no one even notice the difference!

This is solely because a major competitor is doing it, and Samsung wants to capitalise on the hype and market share it might bring, absolutely no android fan wants a 'slim' phone that would probably won't have the new silicon-anode battery tech, thus higher capacity ,and also which might have to run hurdles in terms of heat dissipation problems.

The internet is always bombarded with Galaxy S leaks near the launch time
One day about the price, one day about the size, one day about the color
And official and unofficial renders and...
is it really revealed? Or it is they own work
On the other hand, since Samsung is providing the supply at this time, more information may be revealed

If they make the slim same specs with the ultra, minus the spen and cheaper price, this is the one I would get instead of the ultra. I'm not using that spen anyway and I'm only buying the ultra because of the specs.

If you look at the picture and can't really immediately tell which one is the "slim" variant, then it's not really that slim. Useless marketing gimmick with worse battery life

Samsung should made Samsung Wide. Like blackberry passport with keyboard.
We need something different and if it clicks, then there will be few more.
This giant companies can get away with mild loss with some experimentation.

Rather, we would need a S25 Ultra mini, that will be hot cake. With the size of Ultra line up it's put down for a lot. I got my self S23 Ultra sold it as I couldn't handle the size, again made up my mind and got S24 Ultra gave it to my wife and got my self a S24. If there is a Ultra mini, that is the phone I need.
