Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim's thinness compared to the rest of the family

17 January 2025
It is undoubtedly the thinnest, but by how much?

Sort by:

This is solely because a major competitor is doing it, and Samsung wants to capitalise on the hype and market share it might bring, absolutely no android fan wants a 'slim' phone that would probably won't have the new silicon-anode battery tech, thus higher capacity ,and also which might have to run hurdles in terms of heat dissipation problems.

The internet is always bombarded with Galaxy S leaks near the launch time
One day about the price, one day about the size, one day about the color
And official and unofficial renders and...
is it really revealed? Or it is they own work
On the other hand, since Samsung is providing the supply at this time, more information may be revealed

If they make the slim same specs with the ultra, minus the spen and cheaper price, this is the one I would get instead of the ultra. I'm not using that spen anyway and I'm only buying the ultra because of the specs.

If you look at the picture and can't really immediately tell which one is the "slim" variant, then it's not really that slim. Useless marketing gimmick with worse battery life

Samsung should made Samsung Wide. Like blackberry passport with keyboard.
We need something different and if it clicks, then there will be few more.
This giant companies can get away with mild loss with some experimentation.

Rather, we would need a S25 Ultra mini, that will be hot cake. With the size of Ultra line up it's put down for a lot. I got my self S23 Ultra sold it as I couldn't handle the size, again made up my mind and got S24 Ultra gave it to my wife and got my self a S24. If there is a Ultra mini, that is the phone I need.

Jzgerardus, 17 Jan 2025Cant wait for the S27 ThickAbout to comment for S26. and but this is also valid.. Have a nice day..

Hardly notice but might cost us over heat as the antutu show unimpressive score

Not enough slim. If the thickness around 5mm, that's called real slim.

Pointless phone... the name implies slim, but is not even half slim than regular S25's

If slim models becomes a success plus models would be a history

say "hello" to one of Samsung electronics' biggest failures

                            👋😃

I’m confused why Samsung decided to focus on cameras when most people who want a thin phone don’t care. It would make more sense for Samsung to make a 6mm phone with similar specs to the S24 FE.

However, i think Oppo will be next up and coming brand as its getting better recently. Esp its OS and multi-tasking ease.

What Samsung is now competing is just thin aspect, its other attraction is basically zero.
Even where Honor is now reign top as the thinnest foldable at the moment, there are times where u need to look at other stuffs like Camera functions, fundamental ease of use, security features as well as storage.
All the above, Samsung has undoubtedly failed to live up.

I wonder what's the point in making this product other than a competition with Apple which will be thinner and will ultimately sell more than samsung.?!

My reasoning is Samsung makes stellar quality peoducts but their users for this product category and series (really series is what i mean here) will Ultimately got for thr ultra as more value per dollar spent is realized there. Then again if rumors of cutting out bLuetooth from the S-pen may possibly be to help boost the Slims sales but i feel thats a fools errand.

We'll see but my money is on the iphone slim beating sales globally quarter for quarter. Unless Samsung creates the Slim in its OWN series alone!

Still not as slim as that iconic SonyEricsson W slim way back in the day!

If it still has camera bumps, is it really thin? When you put on a case to protect the camera, all of it will be pointless, wouldn't it?
