The S24 Ultra is on One Ui 6 and the S25 Ultra on One Ui 7.
Do you believe that plays a part in photo/video processing because the hardware is the same with exception of the ultra wide.
Sure the 8 Elite has a different ISP but how much of a difference does it really make?

The GSMARENA comparison is pretty spot on.
The S25 ultra has less noise and less sharpening on ultrawide in low light, altough the s24 ultrawide is pretty much better in daily photos.
So this was a sidegrade as all I've just said is done by software post processing....
The software processing also makes better photos at 10x on s25 ultra while clearly having the same sensor, the s24 ultra 10x post processing looks oiled up while the s25ultra photos look a little more natural.
As for the 3x zoom 10mp camera, its a little less noisy in s25 ultra again because of the software, but still a piece of junk for the obvious reason (same old and obsolete hardware)

Need to so some video testing with movements. Maybe record a video while you're riding on a roller coaster, or attach the phone to a drone and then fly it around.

Like I said, UWA samples looks visibly better from S24U. While other cameras are the same, images looks better from S25U. Obviously faster processor and presumably AI lets post process images deeper without taking too much time. Better details, contrast and exposure. The later is a big deal imo.

Non-ga... morethe regression really only is compared to phones with active coolers, which have their own very loud, very bulky drawbacks. you can always buy TEC modules online to keep your phone cool too. performance is basically indifferent. the main thing "gaming" phones offer is usually a better software suite, for things like upscaling gameplay.

I stand corrected on the voice trigger, but the fact stands: Samsung has taken the feature out. Like they did to 3.5 mm jack in the past.
Also, I do not care about UWA images whatsoever. I was talking about the main camera. S24U sharpening level was okay. S25U is a mushy mess, especially in corners/perimeter. They've improved white balance but made the IQ worse.

now compare s25 ultra to s22 ultra and ask peoole to tell the difference. i don't think anybody will notice anything.

trqhsn, 24 Jan 2025I hate Samsung for their display issue. It is pretty much g... moreI had Note 3, Note 4, Note 20 Ultra and now Z fold 3 and never have I experienced green line issues. Apart from little screen burns on the older models I haven't see any problems with the displays.

Well looking and zooming in to hunt pixels in random street photos (exciting, haven't done that for years tbh since i find nothing on streets worth photographing).. yeah, i could print photos from both cameras and put in some frame/art on the wall.
But reading your professional photographers' and designers ' comments below it seems
50% find s24u photos better, 50% find s25u photos better and neither group of professionals would accept to use photos from camera, they don't find superior..

In low light conditions S24 Ultra is leaps and bounds better. What a nice ... regression.

Compared to the S24 Ultra, it's both a step forward and backward.
The image sharpening in the S24 Ultra is nasty, but at the same time its cleaner presentation is nicer. The S25 Ultra doesn't have the blue hue to the images, nor does it have the insane image sharpening of the S24 Ultra, which is very nice. Unfortunately, the images are rather grainy, and some parts are even lack in the finer details.
Overall the presentation of the S25 Ultra is preferable for me thanks to nicer contrast, better and natural presentation with almost no oversharpening to the images.
