This makes no goddamn sense. Why can't you just call it "10x digital crop zoom from 5x telephoto camera"? This phone doesn't even have an optical zoom at 5x let alone at 10x (Its 5x tele camera has a prime lens with a 111mm field of view), your description is quite literally all over the place. Please fix it for the sake of professional journalism and accurate reporting.

    Professional photographer here. Garbage update, Samesung, go back to the drawing board. Someone in the team has thought S24U photos were oversharpened, where they were not, and toned that down in S25U version while making white balance a little bit more precise. Can you do EVERYTHING right, Samesung, without making something worse and without taking away useful features (S-pen bluetooth connectivity that is useful for remote control)? By the way, my LG V60 can control the camera by voice. Say "Kimchi" and the phone will trigger the camera. Samesung doesn't have that.

    S24U users don't have any reason to update, despite new 50 MP UWA module.

      It is not an upgrade, would call an update if they upgraded all lenses. I mean why are we paying over 1000 euro for just software update and a different processor!!!

        Nice downgrade samsung. Look at those main and uw photos, it's softer than the s24u lol. Updates won't make them magically look better. It would be equal at best

            Better low light color and detail in s25u, but not on all cameras, they are too similar.
            Hi res mode in a good light should bring more detail tho, I mean on superwide camera.
            I'm interested tho, how 200mp processing improved, is there more detail or is it the same...

                  The differences are so minor that Samsung "could" adjust the S24 Ultra's software to match the S25 Ultra's image quality, but they won't.

                  I appreciate new technology, but the yearly incremental changes to the Galaxy flagship lineup feel lazy and provide little incentive to upgrade or support them. 🤷‍♂️

                    It seems like the only improvement is from the ISP.

                      S25U desperately needs a software update, it completely crushes the blacks in the darker spots. Terrible.

                              xPandamon, 23 Jan 2025I can only repeat myself, the changes are subtle, but for t... moreAs someone with no clue about the actual art/photography science and more of a "hey, I want to capture this nice moment" type of person, the S24 Ultra's camera seemed more attractive in most of the samples (S21 FE user, pre-ordered a S25 Ultra), somehow the S25U ones look kind'a blurry in comparison

                                    I can only repeat myself, the changes are subtle, but for the better. More natural sharpness, better colors and less noise. Nothing crazy, but hey, it's not worse, that's what really matters. I think the Realme GT7 was the one that noticeably downgraded the cameras or was it the Red Magic 10? Regardless, it isn't the matter here
