Anonymous, 24 Jan 2025No, the performance won't be the same. You can read reviews. It will be fine and has been fine on previous phones versus gaming phones, too.

The S24 Ultra does a poor job and very noticeable sharpens the image, while the S25 Ultra keeps a natural level of sharpness. This isn't even a subtle change, it's a straight up fix to an issues that both Samsung and Apple smartphones had for years.

Frankly, stop talking about stuff you know nothing about. Also the S24 Ultra camera does oversharpen, it's a known fact and as a "professional photographer" you should know that, too. It's easy to see on images like the plant, where there's a white outline to the leaves aswell as a sort of halo effect when zooming in. The camera here is simply more true to nature, more like actual cameras.

The images of the S25 Ultra look more natural, there's less artificial processing done to the image which is good. You can always sharpen images after taking them, but it's hard to turn that down afterwards

Costlier than S24 launched price, Minor upgrade CPU, camera but lesser pen functionalitiy? Not fully Qi2 charging of the same rating, battery, RAM and OOB offering? Stick to 24U for this year.

What about the new AI Zoom that comes with One UI 7? Does it make past 10x shots look better?

wow, a good downgrade for S25 Ultra! Amazing how details on S25 Ultra looks worse than S24 Ultra or S23 Ultra!

The only on-paper advantage of new hardware in the dark is f/1.9 vs f/2.2. The sensors have equal sizes.
