Is Samsung thinking of ditching the S Pen in future Galaxy S Ultras?

it's an antiquated iphone charging standard donated by Apple to the wireless charging consortium that not even Apple uses, because they have been using the next generation (backward compatible) version for the last few years.
Qi2 charges slowly, really slowly. Really REALLY slowly. The current Samsung wireless charing standard is probably twice the speed.

This is Samsung's technique of selling more Galaxy Ring and Watches; and disappointing all S25 Ultra Users / Customers. Very Cheap Step by Samsung, a bummer. I will not buy Ultra Series if they downgrade Ultra Series' standout features in future.

Leanzazzy, 03 Feb 2025Does the S25 Ultra still support Bluetooth and air actions ... moreLike I wrote, "This is very likely Samsung prepping for the possibility of slimming down all flagship models, by starting to sell the full S Pen as a separate accessory."
Yes, the phone still supports the advanced S Pen. Which they are selling separately. It is greedy, but if their provided usage data is honest, only 1% of Ultra owners use those features, making the 99% paying extra for something they probably don't know is there. So, they cut that out of the "base cost" and add a higher resolution ultrawide sensor, without raising the price. Win-win for the 99%, yes?

Goddess Lyrienne, 03 Feb 2025If that happens? I'm impressed. realistically? NAAAAA... moreThose people that scream about 3.5mm audio output are simply listening to rap/pop/disco type of noise. I have a Samsung with 3.5mm out and it uses the in-built dac in SoC... which is the same quality as realtek everywhere.. total trash. Just get an external usbc DAC for 30€ and enjoy audiophile hifi, provided you have headphones and music taste for it ;)

STT, 03 Feb 2025I would take a 6000mAh battery over the S-Pen without hesitation.Well buy a Chinese phone because you dont like innovation it seems. Spen is a great piece of tech on a phone. Always whinning about bigger batteries and fast charging once my phone can last 24 hours on a charge and takes 1 hour to charge i good

Vivo x200 pro has a si-c 6000mah battery and gets 1hour20minutes more active use time in testing than the s24. If you're willing to give up the S-pen for that, you're short sighted.
that's the plan, eh? : remove feature, keep battery the same along with the price, sell S-Pen kit separately. at least use a weapon if you're going to rob us, sammy

The S Pen wireless function is not compatible with qi2 (magsafe)
I have an S22 Ultra and when I broke my back panel I tried to mod my phone and installed a magsafe replacement kit (the magnets). My S Pen started to act out after that, if I make a light pass over the screen (picture link: https://ibb.co/WNgcdV8S ). I presume the developers of S25 Ultra had the same result and had to choose between the S Pen and qi2 and chose the latter.
