Is Samsung thinking of ditching the S Pen in future Galaxy S Ultras?

Whether it's a duopoly or not, given that low end Androids have been discontinued for the most part, those grey market phones have a chance to survive because of the prominent ODM business. So there's a very low chance one might get a dud, unless it's some shady marketplace.

According to Samsung only 1% of owners use their S-pen bluetooth, so they removed it as apparently nobody uses them.... says who?.
If Samsunng removing S-pen bluetooth but actually add some meaningful improvements then it may be tolerated such as compensated with bigger battery to 6000Mah otherwise what have we users gain when we paid Premium dollar for flagships, absolutely nothing it is a Downgrade for Samsung just to save a few dollars; instead they can expect huge backlash and loose more sales and profits for their callous decisions.....as usual.
By same reasoning if Samsung were to do a study then I bet 99.5% of users are careful and dared not dunk or use their phone in water or anywhere near it if possible (despite IP68 rating); even now when other latest flagships are now more water resistant than ever with IP69 rating, most people never get their phones anywhere near water.
Since I suspect only 0.01% of users would use their phone in water there is no need for IP69 Rating ever given IP68 is already overkill according to Samsung, so why not save save a few more dollars and removed all IP rating alltogether and have no water resistance rating .....after all most people dont use their phone in water anyway, and only a small percentage of IP68 rated phones are water damaged anyway, so removing it must be justified....right? SSSUPER INTELLIGENT SAMMY!

S-pen is an ultimate piece of technology which has no competition. It's a must for Ultra /Note phones

The S pen is still a USP of the Ultra line. It's not mainly about how many people use is actively on a regularly basis but how many find it to be a useful feature?
It's like with all the high class SUVs with extreme off-road features but just a fraction of the buyers go off-road with their 150k € Porsche Cayenne or AMG G-Wagon. But they COULD if they want to.
Same applies to the s pen. If I want I could be productive. The pen adds value to the product.

they can just reduce the prices to make up for the missing features

Am I the only one who wants a 7.1 incher Slab phone ( M14 OLED ) with 6000-6500 mAH Si-C battery with S-Pen ?
Anyhow, even with the S-Pen tucked in, it is not technologically difficult for Samsung to increase battery capacity of the phone. Not sure what is taking so long. All other things like S-Pen takes up space, camera modules take up space etc.. are just excuses. And why the hell are they selling 'bigger Vapor chamber' as a new feature ?

They boxed themselves in a corner, almost no one is using the S pen but even if it's just 1% of total users that's a lot of people, and that's probably the more vocal people.
But on the other side having a feature used by so little people doesn't really make sense, they could use the space better or make the phone thiner.

Nah, not ditch it, rather rethinking it, is the only product that needs development, we're surrounded with rings, watches, cards, etc, and this is the only item that's basically part of the phone itself. Samsung should go next level by implementing a unique use and other functionality aspects, I can imagine a Spen-microphone build version for youtubers that go live street, doing interviews and so on, another commercial version for graphic design/architecture/art that brings new levels of sensitivity, responsiveness and feedback comparable to a medium level Wacom. Imagine an Spen with AI integrated to move in virtual spaces like a VR, for a virtual navigation assistance for example. Samsung has the upper hand here, but it lacks ideas that can be brought without having a crazy cost. Needs better planning, more development and less marketing self-inflicted fear of rushing things up.

[deleted post]Well, they could do something useful instead. Like for example test and provide meaningful information on other devices, software updates, tips&tricks, adb tools, etc..
They didn't even mention the vast amount of bloatware , coming with s25 series and how much of it can be removed..same with hyperos2...
I mean we don't need tech site that copies marketing materials.

If Samsung ditches the S Pen, then it'd be just like any other flagship Android phone out there.

From the Omnia II back in 2009, I have been a user of Samsung stylus models, up to the S23 Ultra. If Samsung removes the in-house stylus from its future models, there is no reason for me to return to Samsung. The S Pen offers the exclusivity of buying Ultra models.
I have many notes, and it is so handy to quickly use the stylus and make notes.

I think they will ditch it, in order to make phones that are even more generic but still charge $1300+ for them.
The other possibility is that they will ditch the Ultra entirely, and just put the pen in their Foldables somehow once that tech gets there.

S-Pen is the only reason I keep purchasing S Ultra series. Otherwise there are better options among huge devices without S-Pen.
Actually I wish there was a bit smaller device with S-Pen on the market.

Samsung's strategy is really pathetic.
