Well, as much as i hate the EU, in this case i blame Vivo. If other brands can offer bigger batteries, then so can Vivo. Honor, Oneplus, Asus, ZTE. Not to mention the exotic brands with 10 000mah or even bigger.

The fact of the matter is, this was a business decision on Vivo's part, which is whatever. Going as far as saying this is done in order to follow 'regulations' is really the true insult to anyone's intelligence like everyone is suppose to believe that without any question?

[deleted post]This is an example of EU regulation concerning batteries and waste batteries, repealing Directive 2006/66/EC and amending Regulation (EU) No 2019/1020.
https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:52020PC0798
Show me similar regulations, such as the above, whether in local Austrian regulations or EU regulations, that affect Vivo's decision on making their battery smaller in Austria and/or the difference in battery capacity between physical stores and online stores.
The fact of the matter is, you can't. Which is fine. But why lie about it? Just say it's a business decision and be done with it. I would totally be okay with that answer.

The difference ... moreYou're not fooling anyone. Those weasel words impress nobody but sycophants.
Is anybody from Austria here that can confirm this? So every device from every brand is sold with different battery specs in physical stores and online just to abide by these so-called regulations? It doesn't make any sense at all. Everyone that spread this false information have lost all credibility, if they had any to begin with by lying through your teeth and fingers.
This is obviously a business decision on Vivo part and has nothing to do with regulations. Just say that, why lie lol?

The difference in battery size between the Vivo X200 Pro in Europe and the Chinese version can be attributed to several factors:
1. **Regulatory Compliance**: Different regions have varying regulations regarding battery sizes and safety standards. Manufacturers may adjust battery capacities to comply with these regulations.
2. **Market Preferences**: Companies often tailor their products to meet the preferences and needs of specific markets. In Europe, there may be a preference for lighter devices, leading to a smaller battery.
3. **Component Variations**: The internal layout and design of the phone may differ between regions, affecting how much space is available for the battery. This can result in different battery sizes.
4. **Charging Standards**: Different regions may have different charging standards and technologies, which can influence battery design and capacity.
5. **Cost Considerations**: Manufacturers may also consider cost factors, including the price of components and the target price point for different markets.
These factors combined can lead to variations in battery size between the same model sold in different regions.
