Every once in a while I catch myself slap-fighting my fellow device enthusiast nerds on the internet. Glad we all like this stuff enough to get excited and maybe inform each other once in a while.
My favorite phone ever is the Xiaomi Redmi 4x I had in 2017. I would probably still be using it if it had the band support for this area. US, yes. It just didn't work well enough in rural areas.

Yeah, No try harder honor, or maybe there is no honor there for you.

Now I am even less tempted to go near any honor device.

Honor? Which brand is this? Nobody cares about it. They are doing just to gain publicity. hehe.

Both phones have their merits, but it seems that Honor may be seeking additional publicity, perhaps due to lower-than-expected sales in markets where their phone was recently released. The Honor phone also has some drawbacks when compared to its competitor, such as a smaller screen size, lower pixel density, and being heavier and thicker. Additionally, it has a lower resolution camera at 50MP compared to 200MP, lacks 8K video capability, and does not come with a stylus.

Years ago, we had fans of the Apple company who would take their tents and wait outside the stores to buy whatever it released, something that Samsung made fun of at the time, as did its fans. So, today, the fans of the Korean company are getting worse... if you are a technology person, without any bias, the new S 25 series offered by Samsung is proportionally the worst it has presented in recent years and it seems to be getting cheaper every year, while other companies that previously did not even dare to approach it have passed it by and waved their handkerchiefs at it... run now and buy what the Korean company offers you as exceptional and you will be amazed at how you got it an ultra device.

Slow charging and great software or fast charging and horrible update support. Choice is yours.

There's a reason why Honor phones have the nickname "Horror"

Let's say Honor is a fancy restaurant selling the best burger. That's nice, but if Samsung is McDonalds and sells you a burger, fries, drink and dessert at the same price, can you blame people for taking that package? I'm not saying that Honor makes bad phones, but in comparison, it has much higher highs but also much lower lows. Samsung gives you a good package. Nothing exceptional, but the package as a whole makes it complete.

I compared the X200 Pro to the S25 Ultra, but either way in my opinion the X100 Ultra is also better than the new S25 Ultra so it hardly matters.

"Samsung is ahead, like it or not; they don't have to move far ahead to stay ahead. "

I don't have to like, or dislike something that I don't even agree with, there is nothing that would make them ahead. If anything is in your opinion, then tell me what.

"I bought my phone because it was cheap and easy to get (which vivo and xiaomi are not, and wouldn't work properly here, lacking bands)."

I assume you are from the US then, in which case I'm sorry sir, the band situation there is absurd. My current main device is one imported directly from China and was only sold there anyway, it has no global variant, yet works perfectly, 4G+ and 5G everything.

In additiom, software is a big deal with phones, most people praise Samsung for that, while I dislike everything about their software, I've tried out everything, HiOS from Tecno, Huawei's EMUI, Honor's Magic OS, Samsung's One UI, vivo's GLOBAL ui which is FunTouchOS, even stock android, but my favourite is vivo's Origin OS when it comes to everything.

This website's users were crying their eyes out in the comments because so many of the staff had the S24 in their top phones for the end of year lists. Okay, Vivo is better. By my own cited numbers, the battery is better. The camera, maybe better, but that's a little more objective, so, by how much? That's the point. Every part of this industry is advancing in small increments. The Vivo was better but was also a year newer and was barely better.
Samsung is ahead, like it or not; they don't have to move far ahead to stay ahead. We are talking about what is, not the magic-yet-to-exist battery tech you're pining for.
By the way, I'm not some fan boy. I bought my phone because it was cheap and easy to get (which vivo and xiaomi are not, and wouldn't work properly here, lacking bands). I have a samsung fridge and it is GARBAGE. I hate this company. I speak in realities and facts with little regard for my opinion of Samsung. unfortunately for the state of this industry, Apple and Samsung led it and continue to do so.

Man, can we not compare a smartphone that has been currently out or not yet released to a smartphone that hasn't even gotten a GSMArena's full review yet?

We don't know how well it performs yet.

In Hungary for example the X200 Pro is the same price as the S25+, except it's not a fair comparison, because the vivo for that price offers 16GB/512GB ram and storage, but the Samsung only comes with 12GB/256GB for the same price. Oh and there will be an X200 Ultra as well, beating Samsung's "Ultra" even harder. Cope better.

As a Samsung fan, i gotta say that SAM really messed up with their latest S25. It's sh*t

That's why they should have taken the trouble to improve things in terms of battery and charging. But apparently you are good enough to be on par with everyone and that's exactly what Samsung offers you. It yields 1:20 more active use time and about 14 minutes faster empty to full charging than the s24u. Not exactly the extreme victory gsm users like to pretend it is. Wow samsung, so far behind !
No one is doing what you're describing.
The days of great leaps in phone tech are in the past for now. Samsung is in a position to let companies try to catch up; they can beta test features for Samsung that can be added later if they work at no further risk to Samsung's reputation... a benefit of their market position. No, this isn't good for the consumer... it is exactly what Apple has done for years.
Of course it would be great to have battery and charge tech like you're describing, but why leap when a simple step takes you beyond the competition? Its business.
