And also a newly released OnePlus 13 is now cheaper than an s24 ultra on any website, lol

Samsung wasn't always seen a... moreSamsung used to be considered the odd one at one time lol, or at least that's how people around me viewed samsung compared to Apple, let's say. In the beginning all android manufacturers were considered near equal and Samsung was kinda mocked for its slow TouchWiz, they got people through their immaculate feature set and just built upon that over the years and people naturally liked them.

          I sense something similar happening with Vivo and Oppo.

            I used iPhone 15 for one year, excellent device and reliable.

They're gradually got there so it's perfectly possible to shake up your image especially with Chinese phones having stronger specs.

                    Most of the users are women they were just falling for iphone ads since they were teenagers and when the guys get gf they r like being forced to switched to iphone otherwise their gf thinks they are poor, bad at making decisions, etc that's their mentality🤣. I haven't seen any girl uses Xiaomi(maybe 1 our of million) but despite that Xiaomi still get many customers🤔

                            This is just market share by models. Chinese companies hold 60% combined global market share. Apple and Samsung stuck in the same place for the last couple of years, while Chinese companies improved a lot. Just look at iphone from 13 to 16 series, and Samsung from s23 to s25, same phones with marginal upgrades. U can't just put new soc and that's it.

                                  It's strange that you care about software and ignore the outdated charging technology of the competition in terms of price.
                                  One company relies on the illusion of better software, while the other relies on modern solutions and leaves software issues to the user's control.

                                    Arguably A55 is best A5x ever only A52s can compete with it.even though it's not sold in big markets like USA it manage to enter in those top seller list.

                                      I wouldn't say, and I definitely don't think you are anything bad for your decision, after all enjoy what you have.

                                      However what I gotta ask is, why does it not make sense to spend $1000 on a phone just because it's chinese?

                                      I mean it depends on which software it is from vivo, but realistically neither should be a deal breaker, FunTouchOS is almost like stock Android, very clean, while OriginOS is very feature rich, but it depends on the person really, to me OneUI is a deal breaker, so I guess anything could happen.
