Interesting, how in China people could buy any phone, yet vivo outsells even Apple, the crippled Huawei ranks third and Samsung is nowhere to be seen.

          Vivo is the king in the two biggest smartphone market countries China and India but they are ranked 6th globally, just need to sell to more countries.. Some iQOO phones were released in India but not in Indonesia.

China has the largest population, so just selling domestically is plenty of units. The rest of the world over barely cares about Vivo or Huawei at this point, so celebrating government owned companies in your own country seems kind of hollow. Commenter below me says 'fruit falls'. What else would you expect?

And they should be, given the deck stacked in their favor. They are passing policies against Apple and offer subsidies to their citizens to buy Vivo and Huawei. Should explain their continued growth - if the government offered you up to $300 USD to buy Vivo/Huawei, combined with national pride and social pressure, well, a choice like that is hardly a choice.
