Samsung resurrects Galaxy A25 5G as a dual-camera version for Japan

The phone was originally announced at the end of 2023 and has three cameras on the back.

A Galaxy A** is now sold with 6 years of security updates and major Android updates. An S10e released in 2019 with an Exynos 9820 (8nm) and 6GB of RAM runs perfectly today, with no slowdowns under Android 12. An SD 7 gen 3 will be significantly more powerful and perfectly capable of running the device 6 years, no doubt. And the Galaxy A comes without the AI functions that require a lot of RAM. What I'm saying is that selling the same phone twice under two different references (A36 and A56) doesn't cover the whole market, and there's nothing to rival the entry-level iPhone SE4. Apart from that, you seem to spend far too much time on this site, no-one gives a damn about your opinion. If the main references on the market (S25, iPhone 16/Pro) are sold with a 6.1/6.3 inch screen, it's because there's a reason. And these screens aren't ‘tiny’ - a 2022 iPhone SE is 4.7 inches.

It's probably the latter that I'm going to buy (for 700 euros with discounts, but then I'm going to keep it for 7 years, I'm not sure I'll be a very profitable customer for Samsung). Meanwhile, everyone is waiting for a tiny phone with a 6.1 screen called the iPhone SE4.

        This is insulting to the Japanese, they better hit back with better phones from Sony. I don't know what's wrong with Sony, they missed out big time.

          The way that this shit has worse specs than A06 5G and more expensive is insane ☠️🙏

                    Plus its cheap enough to be own without carrier contract. They try to capture the low end market where sony or sharp did not provide any alternative.

                                      Sharp Aquos R2 Compact, Sharp Aquos R8/R8 Pro & Sharp Aquos R9/R9 Pro say hello.
                                      Same goes for the Aquos Sense8/Sense9.
                                      And let us not forget about the Xperia Ace. And Fujifilm devices, along with Kyocera. Even Samsung has produced special devices with different specs and design for Japan.

                                      This Samsung A25 5G looks like a "downgrade" but this model is actually supposed to be cheap and affordable, for kids and people who need the basics. It will probably be free with most plans. The Sharp model that competes with it would be the Wish4.

                                        Would be nice if they resurrect A4 series and have it back in it's roots with 5.9inch screen or at least with 6.1 inch screen like A41

                                        They stop making it cause it lost it's point when with A42 were already as big as rest of the A series.

                                        Or just make it to be A2x series as the A3 and A5 series are more expensive with same performance chip in them
