PureOS, 17 Feb 2025At least they could made it in 4nm, just like sd 4 gen 2. U... more4g2 is samsung 4nm, probably cheaper than tsmc 6nm. It has similar efficiency despite 4g2 having a78 lol.

At this point, MediaTek has to make a new chip for the Dimensity 6x00 series. Stop basing it on the Helio G99, there needs to be actual improvements. Use at least A78 cores (or even go the route of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and use A720 cores?); have support for the latest version of Bluetooth; have support for both LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 RAM; give it a better ISP (including support for 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps or better); and make it on TSMC N4 if it's at all possible.

Dimensity 810 is a rebranding of the Dimensity 700, the main difference between them is that the 700 is a 7nm chip. Since then, MediaTek has rebranded the chip every year with every small change, so it's no surprising that with a small increase in clock speed, MediaTek rebranded it as the 6400.
