They should have used the 11 as their base and make this cheaper. At this price it doesn't make sense to buy instead of older iPhones. Just to have AI. Not to mention they'll use buyers as testers of their new modem, that's a bit too high of a price to be a guinea pig

you can get 15 cheaper than this in france

also i'll list all the things
    • No MagSafe and No Qi2 (its Qi1)
    • First generation Photography Styles
    • First generation Portraits ( no advanced portrait SW (+ Cinematic Mode))
    • No UWB chip for AirTags/Find My (not even U1)

Well, at least the 64gb storage rumours proved false. That £599 starting price though is a real stinger.

This would be ''tempting'' at 499$.

599 is just 100 less than Iphone 16. Apple never fails to disappoint once again.

          1080 euros for a 512 GB iPhone 16e or 1150 euros for a 512 GB Oneplus 13?

            "February 2e1"
            lol Vlad and his puns!

Ugly stupid notch with 60HZ in 2025.Pixel 9 is a way better choice with cheaper price. This phone is not an SE,just a simple e=embarrassment and the price £599,maaan Apple is dead.Cook out.

"The new Galaxy S10e", I mean iPhone 16e. First, it was the "Pro" (Tab Pro), then the "Ultra", now the "e", clearly their marketing money doesn't go into naming, they just borrow Samsung's.

                  iPhone 16 mini Plus 😂

With that pricing, looks like the 2025 mid-range market will not be taking a beating from Apple after all. Oh well...what could've been...

Btw concerning the sub-Headline „it’s not very colorful“: black and white are all the colors a phone really needs to come in. Any others is a bonus. But omitting those two options is bad. Like many other phones do nowadays. They will come in a beige or a dark blue instead of basic black/white, which is often enough kinda ugly.

The pricing should start at 399/499.

                          amazing innovation?

Congratulations on your first phone with modem, produced by another company than the fruit.

That price is one of the best jokes I've heard in recent years.

Oh god they're actually calling it the 16e. The SE really is dead.

The phone actually looks quite nice, but ouch at that price. 100 bucks more than we were expecting. At least that 64GB rumor was fake.

Is it true that it doesn't support MagSafe?

Too big to be a true SE successor. Maybe one reason why it’s not called SE. Also, would be great if they finally updated it yearly or at least lowered the price over the years, instead of letting it rot at the same price for 3 years like they did with the previous SE. But they won’t because it has to be an intentionally bad value for upselling purposes.
