        Anonymous, 19 Feb 2025They should have used the 11 as their base and make this ch... moreThey still have the iPhone 15 vanilla series on sales right now, there's no way Apple will implement iPhone 11 camera configuration (the specs, not the design of course) on the 16e that easily. That would jeopardize iPhone 15 series in some ways. iPhone 16e is meant to replaced both the SE3 and iPhone 14 series, just like iPhone SE3 meant to replaced both iPhone 8 and iPhone SE1.

          $600? LOL. This means it would probably be around $700 or more internationally. By then, people would just opt for the regular 16. I guess that’s intentional. But it’s not competitive when one can get the Galaxy S24, with actual useful AI and support a ton more languages, and a complete flagship triple camera setup.

          Apple is literally abandoning the $500 segment. I can understand their desire to maintain their margins, but if their goal is to increase usage of Apple intelligence, they will fail. Unless they would make this into a yearly cycle along with the regular iPhone lineup, and push the 16e down to $500 when they release the 17e next year.

For this cash Samsung s24 ultra, Samsung s25, OnePlus 13R, Xiaomi 14, Motorola edge 50 ultra ( 16/1tb version), Realme GT 7 Pro, are far better deals. Only illiterate person can get this over mentioned devices.

                699 for 1 camera and ai gimmicks which barely anyone would use and isnt even available in half world...

                        Tom, 19 Feb 2025No 120hz display???The vanilla series or base series iPhone 16 series is still rocking 60Hz (Super Retina XDR OLED non-ProMotion) Display and the base series only will be getting the 120Hz ProMotion LTPO OLED Display with iPhone 17 series later this year at Q3 2025, what do you think that Apple gonna give that type of display to the 16e 7 months earlier than the base one? It would be suicidal for Apple to do that.

                                      They should have used the 11 as their base and make this cheaper. At this price it doesn't make sense to buy instead of older iPhones. Just to have AI. Not to mention they'll use buyers as testers of their new modem, that's a bit too high of a price to be a guinea pig
