Weekly poll: who is interested in the new Apple iPhone 16e?

For 700€ you will be able to buy an s25 in 2 months, which obliterates this in every way, except arguably the main camera performance. And if you really want an iPhone, at 750€ you could get the 15, whcih is also better in every way except the camera and the chipset. If this was 500€ it would be a good deal, but at this price, it's just ridiculus.

For the price of $600 dollar for the 128gb variant, I would DEFINITELY get it since at that price range there's no other compact phone so yas

I'll tell you who's interested. The people that don't visit review sites or read about what they buy at all.

This phone makes no sense at all
It's overpriced for what it offers, the 128 GB model is practically useless, and even at that price, there's the iphone 15 that offers a better camera setup and the dynamic island. The regular 16 isn't too far in price either, why would anyone go for this ?

€719 for a 60Hz screen and a single 1/2.55" rear photo sensor is shameful.

- "Apple" Intelligence is really not as good as other AI features from android counterparts.
- The camera performance was overexaggerated by Apple; this phone's single camera is never going to be as good as other androids in this price range. For example the OnePlus 13R is going to offer much better camera performance whilst not costing a lot more.
- They deliberately didn't include some features such as MagSafe, to try and upsell their other products to (mainly) apple users who care about those features, as well as making wireless charging a measly 7.5W
- The cost for storage upgrades is crazy high as usual
- There are a lot of other things, such as Apple describing the C1 modem as the most power efficient, though they never said that it offers less performance than Qualcomm's modem.
All I see here is Apple trying to make more profit by upselling their other devices and selling this phone at a price where it's very little value for money. The only things that make this seem good is the (binned) A18, the delayed "Apple" Intelligence (which is hardly as good as the AI from competitors) and the display being an OLED (as opposed to the LCD display in the last iPhone SE) with high ppi density (even this is at 60Hz to try and upsell the pro models).
This is one of the worst phones that money can buy at its launch price, with Apple's main intent being to upsell the pricier iPhones.

If i pay 740 euro for a phone i expect it to have a lot of flagship phone features. At least all the entry level flagship features like standard iPhone and standard Samsung S series.
Looking 16e it's for me like hat we can get from Android Go phones. And i am not talking about the performance. I talk about the features the phone come with. The very most i would pay for this phone would be like 350 euro as that is how much i see this being worth and that is only cause of the cpu even tough it's binned.

I'll wait for reviews to see if this is worth buying. That's the best approach!

I'll wait for the 17 with promotion 120hz plus a newer chip and then buy it on Amazon when it's been discontinued.

I‘m waiting for the iPhone 17 with ProMotion LTPO 120Hz with AoD in a lighter body than the Pro models. If I don’t like it, 13 mini it is

At this price, I would love to see a new mini rather than this overpriced nonsense.

Not only I don't want an iPhone, but even if I did, at that price, the 16e is one crappy deal.
