That's not fair it gets 6 updates while last years A55 and A35 only get 4 updates. They should increase last years A35 and A55 especially with the delay of One UI 7

Luke, 11 hours agono, it's not just a Samsung thing. It's Android f... moreOlder mid-range Samsungs used to authoritatively close applications to manage RAM shortages. It's well known. That's why you should always aim for at least 8GB of RAM in 2025, which is the minimum you'll need to enjoy your smartphone until 2031, given the inflation in consumption caused by new versions of Android/OneUI.

PartTimePhoner, 11 hours ago- Redmi Note 7 and Note 8: 1 OS update, 2 years of security... moreI need updates to plug critical security holes that can be exploited by hackers, just like everyone else (but not everyone knows that). New versions of Android, on the other hand, are of no use to me, as most of the features already exist in OneUI 4.1.

Don't be like Apple users, which are thankful to Apple for not giving them a chance to mess up with their iphones, hence they are "always perfect and fast" :)

As for your S10e, well, of course. My A50 runs great too. Why do you need updates if your phone runs great anyways?
J7 Prime 2 does have 32gb storage, yes, but its a low-end midranger from 7 years ago. It's impressive that it still runs at all.

Truly delusional people!!! You get me man, I have an S22 Ultra and i've tried an S25 Ultra and it's all crap. iPhones are genuinely better for normal people. If i weren't a tinkerer/hardcore android fanboy i'd have used an iPhone cus Samsung just sucks now. THIS is the best that android can do? Well RIP android if this is what 90% of people are happy with.

403 Forbidden, 13 hours agoWell, the phone is just somewhat buggy sometimes. Scrolling... moreThere are 2 options:
1) You have forcibly stopped applications/processes that are also used by other applications/processes. This would be fixed the fastest with a Factory Reset, if you don't know exactly what you stopped.
2) If it doesn't fix it with a Factory Reset, then there are bugs in the software.
-----
I don't use Google's built-in applications like Discovery, Wallet, Lens, Gemini, etc... I just stop the Google application on my phone. However, with Xiaomi it happens like with you - various things stop working from time to time/crash. I don't have this problem with 1+, but it doesn't say that it won't appear and that I will have to activate Google again.

Anonymous, 12 hours agoBut how many years of security updates do Xiaomi and Huawei... moreold Samsung devices (J series and A single digit versions) had the issue that their flash rom was split into 2 areas:
fast one for system and cheaper and slower for app data (fantastic way to save money :( ).
Result was primary partition was getting overfilled fast and phone was rendered useless. The only way was to clean up cache and apps regularly, but with years that became impossible..
The modern A series (double digit versions) don't have that issue anymore, there is only one partition for whole data..

Because from that point of view my Galaxy S10e is working perfectly well in 2025 (a J7 Prime 2 only has 32GB of ROM, updating applications quickly becomes impossible, it's literally a disgrace to sell this type of hardware).

So my guess is - there is a catch somewhere on Samsung devices - some settings and/or built in apps usage/setup could be the culprit..
Idk, hope you sort it out, it's definitely not how it's supposed to work

403 Forbidden, 13 hours agoWell, the phone is just somewhat buggy sometimes. Scrolling... moreImho the issues you experience are caused by excessively disabling/blocking some stuff. I have seen those previously when i was playing with permissions of Google and Samsung core apps. You can disable Google, chrome, etc, but you should never touch permissions of core apps and services..i know, it leaves a bad taste, but that's how android is working. Google and Samsung don't like being blocked to spy on you.. as any other phone :(
Also Google core services don't like cache cleanup - if you are using it, that could explain they are hanging..
You don't need to use Samsung services and accounts, but don't disable or remove permissions. Just don't accept Eula. You can (and should) disable what you don't like in camera and gallery apps, but not on app level via settings.
Also - decrease animations and don't use display auto tuning (color, refresh,etc)..
