the release of the iphone 16e wasn't spectacular, it kind reminds me of the black and white television no color at all, were they getting bored of the colors. I think they cannot recreate the success of the 5c or 16e color branding if i can recall they were famous because it looked cute, cool and modern. Until, later on there were issues concerning these units, namely the iphone 5c security issues. I think this generation is becoming older and more serious, with all kinds of vengance in their minds.

I don't get this criticism, and I don't even like Apple. iPhones are too expensive, yes, but the 16e is £200 cheaper than the standard 16 and is almost the same. The only tangible difference is the ultrawide camera (and the camera button I guess). That's a fair compromise for a 25% cheaper phone, and most users probably don't use the ultrawide enough to justify spending an extra £200 on it.
You still get: a flagship processor, the same flagship main camera, the same screen, the same software, the same build quality/waterproofing, and better battery life.

This phone should have ultrawide camera and price of around 499 dollars to be even somewhat competitive vs Android phones.

The way I see it, Apple think that users are going to have access to AI with the 16e for 200$ less than an basic iPhone 16. But for 200$ less they’d be getting a lesser screen, one less GPU core, a lesser main camera, no ultra wide lens, no camera button, no Dynamic Island, no MagSafe…

It's important to note that sooner or later, you'll be charged for Apple Intelligence and all other AI gimmicks they're trying to pull off, even though it's way behind the competition.
So AI should never be the reason for you to choose this over an older Iphone, like the base 15 for example

This was a targeted poll, and although we are more tech savvy then a regular person, excluding bots and trolls voting, this doesn't look good for the 16e
But we have to wait for the sale reports ( that won't mention how many were coorporate buys, free gifts with plans, etc...)
