Anonymous, 28 Feb 2025This fake bs Fuji has a ton more to offer than Nikon, Cano... moreI was quite disturbed when I saw Nikon Zf's SOOC colours in a review just as much as when I saw Zfc's, I didn't like the general colour rendition, but most importantly, skin tones looked very off in many cases. Canon's rendition has been generally well received especially for portraits because it warms up the skin a bit, but again, as a whole, is it highly regarded or branded as Fuji's FilmSim? No.
You can forget about Sony, I know this because I rented a6000 and a6600 before getting my a7IV. The SOOC colours were looking OK-ish (but still not great, red was too orange and green was too saturated in the standard mode) on a6600, but a6000 was a huge mess with a strong green hue shift in shadows. I recommend Sony cameras for their wide range of lens options, not for colour rendition.
Finally, let me ask you a question: Can you genuinely imagine a situation where saying "It has a Nikon/Canon/Sony colour" would boost the sales of a particular phone, like ever? As I said, a brand has to be "well known" for their colour rendition for a smartphone manufacturer to team up with them - I'm not saying Canon has bad colours, but that's simply not their main selling point.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2025Look who's talking. Mr Double Standard.
1) Bash sa... more1) Quote that exact comment showing me "bashing Samsung", if you could then I would apologise. I'll wait.
2) "Waxy" implied that all the details are excessively smoothed out, which was absolutely not the case in Find X6 Ultra's photo samples - Therefore I disagreed with GSMArena's assessment. It's not my problem that you can't discern good noise reduction algorithms from a bad one because boo-hoo "Reviewer A said B so it must be B". Think before you type.
3) You didn't refute my point that the slight haziness/bluriness in the telephoto samples of Find X8 Pro could be caused by its shallow depth of field in one of its samples. X7 Ultra didn't show that in its samples because they were shot at a different set of test scenes where the focus was always set to infinity. Again, think before you type.
4) I've been saying that the biggest benefit of using a Quad Bayer sensor over a traditional Bayer sensor is that it allows you to choose between the low noise/high speed readout (Binned output) and the high resolution readout modes.
Obviously if you're shooting in 12.5MP mode, it will lose out to a regular 20MP sensor in detail capture, but the former is theoretically less noisy when every other spec of the camera is the same. The same sensor will also outresolve the 20MP sensor when shooting in 50MP mode, provided that it uses mature demosaicing algorithms to interpolate values effectively.
Once again, think before you type.
5) So essentially, "Source: Twitter", and you can't even provide a link to the concrete proof🤷 Why am I listening to you again?
"you would be in favor of the tech if oppo had used the 80-200mm"
*If the implementation is actually good*, then yes, I would be in favour. If it turns out to be like the mediocre zoom lens on Xperia 1 VI, however, I would straight up dismiss it, regardless of who does it, because I hate it when smartphone manufacturers rely on glaring amount of sharpening to make up for the lack of details.
"Should partner with nikon instead or canon"
Assuming that this whole news is true, Vivo is partnering up with Fuji for one obvious reason - Film Simulations. Canon and Nikon are not well known for straight-out-of-camera colours (I would even say that Nikon could get quite unpleasant with skin tone at times) and all the tech they have for autofocusing and others would carry relatively little meaning to a smartphone camera.
Colours and contrast are what speaks to you right when you see an image; that's why Huawei, Xiaomi and Sharp all partnered up with Leica for their characteristic "Leica look", and Oppo and Vivo put a lot of emphasis on Hasselblad Master Mode and Zeiss Colour Modes, respectively. Fuji has a ton more to offer than Nikon, Canon or Sony when it comes to colour science in photos.
After all, smartphones are snap shooters, and that's exactly what Fuji is well-regarded for - Their impressive X100 series.

1) Bash samsung for not having real 45W charging, but makes excuses for Oppo N5 having peak almost 20W below the advertised
2) Deny the whole wax thing from older oppo phones when even this site said it was waxy.
3) Made excuse to justify periscope issues of X8 Pro , denying it was software issues ( half baked software) when same periscope was used by x7 ultra without the issues. But same issue seen on 1v periscope to you is lens issues when update changed situation.
4) on one day you claim with your life that 50MP quadbayer is equivalent to 50MP , then you make excuses to justify why phones with imx989 or lyt900 lose easily to rx100 vi , you use the 20mp of camera as excuse.
5) blindly believe fast charging does not harm battery and the 1600 cycles marketing, but never explained to everyone here why years ago oppo phone was tested at 10W charging with battery outside the device to get TÜV certified. Stuff posted on Twitter by that Andrew guy from Anandtech that had left the site and was working for Qualcomm
Everybody here knows you would be in favor of the tech if oppo had used the 80-200mm. Oppo does not use because of price, not because 2 fixed are better.
Zoom system for phones costs more than 2 primes.
Problem.is fact that only japanese want to have fuji basically. Not amount of sales. Fuji surely sells more than Leica. Tons want leica, but can't afford.
Should partner with nikon instead or canon. Much more to offer.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2025Go see numbers of sales. Fuji is well ranked only in Japan... moreFujifilm is a much smaller company than the big 3. Their production is also much smaller. But whatever they produce, gets sold out almost immediately X100vi is on backorder for months everywhere. Their other cameras are also out of stock almost everywhere. The used market is inflated because of that very much. It is incredibly desirable.
So, looking at just sales numbers is naive. You can buy a Sony, Nikon or Canon whereas you may not be able to do so with a Fuji because of the demand.
