        The M1 iPad blows every galaxy tab or phone I had for gaming and I upgrade my android every year, except I skipped the tab S10 because they didn't release an 11 inch.

        My 2021 iPad is has better performance and thermals than any android and gets even higher and more stable framerate

                Why improve SoC on crappy screen. Even cheap tablet still scroll fb smoother.

                  Air = FE = Lite

                  it means lower spec,
                  evidently with the single camera compared to Pro,
                  60Hz Display,
                  lack of 5G cellular call too,
                  no Whatssap App support too,
                  cannot scroll Whatssap App history with ease, only use WEB version.

                          How will it feel 2x faster than an M1 iPad when the screen is the same 60hz? It's like putting 15 inch wheels on a Ferrari.

                            "We don’t get the same details comparing the M3 Airs to their M2 predecessors from last year."

                            That's because the M2 is just an improved version of M1. It's the same with the M4 against M3. It's not like it matters anyway since the iPad Air and also the iPad Pro are still pegged down on what is basicallly a glorified iOS for tablets. Call me back when Apple finally put native macOS on them.

                              Apple really lost it now

                                At least the price of the Magic Keyboard is now made cheaper. But why couldn't they make the cutout large enough so it could fit iPad Pro 2018-2022?

                                Looks like some ugly cutout work will need to be done.

                                      Anyway, you can get refurbished 256GB M1 iPad Air from Apple for $500. Seems like the better deal.

                                        What a pointless update, the iPad Air doesn't need a faster chip (it makes no real-world difference whether you're on M1, M2 or M3), it needs a better display, a better OS, better battery life, and more versatility.
